Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Xo

XO is Jeffery Deaver's third book with protagonist Kathryn Dance. Dance is a special agent with the California Bureau of Investigation and is a brilliant interrogator and body language expert. In this chilling novel, Dance must use her specific skill set to help her friend, successful pop country singer, Kayleigh Towne, to evade a killer.

Towne's hit song "You Shadow" lands her in the spotlight, until an obsessive fan turned stalker warns, "I'm coming for you". Soon after accidents start to happen. Towne receives an anonymous phone call and hears a verse from "You Shadow". A few hours later, one of her crew is found murdered echoing the lyrics of the verse. The events that follow lead Dance to believe that Towne is in danger and the murderer must be caught quickly before he strikes again. However, she soon learns that Towne has more than just one fan with an ultimatum.

Best part of story, including ending: The plot is fast-paced and interesting, and an agent with a skill set such as Kathryn Dance's, makes the book that much better.

Best scene in story: My favorite scene has to where Lincoln Rhyme and Amelia Sachs make an appearance to lend a hand, because a combination of Rhyme, Sachs and Dance is pure genius! They make an amazing team!
