Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Not Perfect |
---|
You can redeem your virtue if you feed homeless people. As far as I can tell, there only seems to be one theme in this book, which is that virtue can be earned, and the best way to gain virtue is to serve the homeless. You can kill people with morphine, or peanut oil, or whatever, or rob people blind, or feed your kids crackers and vinegar every night, but as long as you help the homeless, you are a-ok.
I suppose you could say there are other themes--loneliness, guilt, poverty, and so on, but the one theme that shines through is the one above. Every time Tabitha felt bad about her life, she would go to serve the homeless, because the homeless were the most virtuous of them all.
