Darby: Darby is a young woman who comes all the way from Ohio to New York to go to secretary school. But once she gets there she starts singing and contemplates life as a singer. Her Mom, who pays her way through secretary school, is a real bitch, although perhaps there were some mitigating circumstances when we learn that Darby's dad was boning guys in the ass.

 

Esme: Esme is a lesbian drug dealing Puerto Rican maid at the Hotel Barbizon, where Darby stays. They become friends and Esme encourages Darby to sing. Esme tries to bone Darby but has difficulty because Esme has no p_nis, so she settles for cutting up Darby's face with a knife instead, while Darby gives Esme an unexpected flying lesson off the top of the Hotel's roof.
