Jimmy is a decorator and married to Liz and they have a daughter Anne-Marie who is 12. Jimmy discovers Buddhism at his local Buddhist Centre and soon is going to a Retreat and meditating every night. This starts to distance him from Liz. However when Jimmy tells Liz that he wants to be celibate Liz really can't understand it.
Jimmy moves out of their house and sleeps at the Centre. Then Liz's mother dies and Jimmy invites the lamas to the funeral...
