posts on 10/6/2006 7:08:42 PM I just read your book and was greatly youched with how much you put of yourself in your book. I loved and hated every moment of it. I hated how all the SS treated your family friends and you just because you were/are Jewish. But i loved how you gave yourself to your people
posts on 9/19/2006 9:28:29 PM I have just finished reading Alicia I was amased that such a young child could do all you accomplished. Thank you so much for writing it. the book shows us we can surive problems no matter what they are if we have faith. Can you please let me know if there are any other books that you have wrote so that I may purchased them. I have learned so much about that horrible war by reading your material. Again thank you so much for writing it to make people aware of what really took place.
posts on 8/30/2006 7:00:13 PM Alicia, My sister first introduced me to your book after you spoke to a group from Camp Swig many years ago. I have read your story many times and I still have a hard time understanding how people can follow such horrid leaders, then and now. Its amazing that you were able to prevail and use your experience to try and open eyes. I won't say I love you book... how can anyone love such horror that was inflicted on so many innocent people, but I will say your book is profound and I have passed my copy and bought copies for friends. If you are still lecturing in the San Francisco area I would love the opportunity to come listen. Is there a site that will have upcoming public engagments?

posts on 8/28/2006 12:11:53 PM Hello Alicia, IAm from the Netherlands and i was born in 1980..my grandfather Abraham who died a few years ago was half Jewish and he was sent to a camp in the second world war..not because he was half jewish but because he was in the resistence. He was in a work camp and the germans asked him a lot about his name..because he was named Abraham Isaac they even measured him..but he always denied being half jewish..and finally he was set free..but he never spoke about this.. When i first read your book,,I was twelve and I was always reading about the war..because I wanted to know how it was possible that human beings could change into something like killing machines. It was like a silent history...ofcourse we always learned about the war at school..but it was too much..for the brain to understand. The most strange was when at my school we had a lesson about the second world war and there were pictures and I saw this picture of baby Hitler in a white outfit. And that just made the biggest impression on me when i was this girl. I could not understand that the child in the picture was to become what he later became.. and i do believe that people can create tirans. But now when i look at the world and i see what is happening...with all the wars going on..still and the children being murdered..in the name off?? Well...I have two daughters and one child on the way...my daughters are Anemone and Ela..they are 7 and 5. I can only hope and pray that this world will once be free of so called adults who only live for the power...driven by fear. You are one of the people that bring a little bit of light in this world. And your strenght makes you part of a Higher power. The power of of love. Lots of love and greets from Sarah.
posts on 8/18/2006 4:07:10 PM I have a Senior friend named Sarah, who is 84 years old and she has just finished reading your book. Sarah does not have a computer and has asked me if I could find a mailing address so that she can write you. My friend, Sarah, is a very spiritual and caring person and feels that she needs to write to you. She has never read a book that was so profound. She can't believe that someone could suffer so much at such a young age and survive. Please email me a mailing address so that Sarah may write to you. Sarah has stated to me that in the many years of her life, she has read alot and seen alot but nothing like what you went through. Ellie

Jackie Haas posts on 2/21/2006 6:10:56 PM I can't even describe they way I feel after reading your book. I was very moved, I have never written to an Author before (I am an avid reader) but, something just made me find a way to contact you. I feel as if I know you reading about what you went through! Thank You for listening when your Mother told you that you must live, it was because people needed to hear your story.
