Lullaby posts on 11/26/2006 6:07:29 PM I think the point of The Report Card isn't the fact that Nora's a genius or if she gets facts right or not. It's more of realizing how kids let grades affect them so strongly, and how one kid is realizing all of this and actually DOES something about it. It's rude to post a message that defames a story when the point of the story isn't even grasped properly.
Mr. Boushele's- Student posts on 11/15/2006 1:26:08 PM Hi Andrew Clement, I'm Michaela Roland and I go to Sugar Bush Elementary. I'm in 5th grade. For my book project I read your book The Janitor's Boy. It was a great book, and one of my favorties! My favorite part was when Jack met Eddie and he told Jack all about John and that is Jack's dad. I hope you keep writing your books and I will keep reading them. Also, do you have any books your writing that aren't out yet? Sincerely, Michaela Roland 5th grade

Taylor Dudley posts on 10/15/2006 9:06:32 PM MR.Clements, is there a way for you to send me a letter to post with all of my information about you. I'm in te battle of the books at school and I would love to have something is your writing describing your experience as a writter. An email will just find. I'm very excited and hope to hear from you. Are you going to be in NC anytime soon? I would love for you to autography one of my many books of yours. My mom laughs when there is a book fair because your books are all I want to buy! Thanks for your books and your help with my presentation! I don't know how you do it! Your books are the best. I'm in the fifth grade and I'm 10 years old.
Mignon posts on 10/15/2006 4:50:39 PM I thought this book was horrible and a waste of time. The main character is supposedly a genius yet even the simplest things, she doesn't know. For example, she thinks that the latin name for domestic cats is felis catus, when actually it is felis domesticus (she is in 5th grade and I knew that fact in fourth grade or earlier!). Also, the hydrogen in the sun is not being converted into helium atoms in the sun, in reality, two hydrogen atoms are combining to form helium, otherwise known as nuclear fusion. Also, thoughts don't travel far. For example, if you think of China, your thought isn't in China but rather its in your brain. I don't advise you to read this horrible, disgustingly inaccurate, rambling, preachy book.

posts on 6/5/2006 1:14:35 PM Ok, so i just finished-again- Things not seen. I love it! but everytime I feel unsatisfied. I want to happens with bobby and alicia. I need a sequel. Usually Mr. Clement's books pretty much close. But in this one, he totally set it for a sequel and there isn't one! that's all i wanted to say.
