I admire the novel "Memoirs of a Geisha'. I Fell in love with the movie and then I proceeded to read the book. When I read the book I felt closer to the characters. The book was like a best friend, full of secrets. Secrets that was shared only at night with a good lamb light. The character Nobel-san took on a new life for me. I saw someone who was attentive, caring and loving despite his temper. I found his scars had disappeared and emerged a loving man.
Thank you for writing this book.... I would not have traded that friend for anything....

This book is truly beautiful. I'm only 14 years old when I read this book but I didn't have a hard time understanding it. This book shows the difference of a prostitute and a geisha. I'm totally hooked on this. This is a read must-have!

...this book is truly amazing! It will not let me put it down as if there is a mind in the book. Golden has made this a true masterpiece but easy enough for you , the reader, to be there, as if you were another geisha in training!

Is the translaters note, supposedly by Jakob Haarhuis, part of the fiction / novel?

....simply captivating!! Mr. Golden's writing style has the ability to make me become the main character..Chiyo. I experienced her every emotion as close as I could, not being her....brilliant! This book is not a library rental...it is a collection....a classic.
