Ben Bova Message Board

posts on 9/21/2006 11:06:30 AM as stated it is a freee product, any editing will break copyright. and this system is odd.. the po pu ps are horrible.
posts on 9/21/2006 9:12:42 AM Thanks, Doc. If you put spaces between the w w w and before and after the periods in a web address, you can fool the website and the forum will show it. For example, w w w . benbova . net. The same trick will work for email addresses.
posts on 9/21/2006 2:16:39 AM I can see how some were confused I about the directions for finding the download. Especially with the link at the top of the posts that looked like a link to the Ben Bova site. But the man fault likes with the forum itself for not allowing web references. The other problem is that there are numerous typos. I had decided, I would go ahead and edit the copy as I read it, but found to my dismay that it is a locked PDF, so one can not edit. To date I have noted over 100 errors. Fortunately it does not really affect the reading of he book because most people can just fill in the blanks.

posts on 9/19/2006 9:01:17 PM [sigh].. five years of this it is beyond comprehension that someone would not have done e rudeiemtry search.
posts on 9/19/2006 8:04:01 PM Thank you everybody for your contribution in getting this book available for all. What a wonderful treat. It is very gracious of Mr Bova to provide it the way he did. I shall be sure to thank him, also. Again, thanks all.
posts on 9/18/2006 3:07:59 PM (Sigh)... LLoyd, one more time... at the top of THIS page is a link to the Ben Bova Main Page. I thought THAT was THE Ben Bova website. I couldn't find the link you were trying to tell me about on THAT page. It all became clear when I discovered there was ANOTHER Ben Bova main page. Is it all clear now? Let's not wonder about what I might or might not have done, or what you would have thought someone in the same circumstances would have done, shall we? Just acknowledge that there was some degree of confusion present, and that some of the advice I was getting from some posters was about as clear as mud.
posts on 9/18/2006 10:14:19 AM Well I'd have thought that someone so hot for the book would have looked up the author before posting all this.
posts on 9/18/2006 8:58:50 AM I do want to say a belated Thank You to Ben B. and everyone else who made the electronic release of SC without fee possible. SC is my favorite book read as a teenager and I can easily say that it inspired me to read other Sci-Fi authors, a pasttime that continues to this day. Reading Sci-Fi as avidly as I did helped me develop the vocabulary and grammar skills I have, more so than any school English class I ever sat through. Again, my thanks to Mr. B. and his fellow authors for the positive impact their work has had on my life.
posts on 9/18/2006 12:44:14 AM If you check the review of Star Conquerors on Amazon, you'll get the exact website. Doc
posts on 9/17/2006 10:58:52 AM OUTSTANDING!! I AM VERY PLEASED!! I last read this book around 1960-62. This book fired my imagination like no other before it and I have been a live long fan ever since. I am glad I can share this with my daughters and new grandson.
