hey Amber, I'm glad you made that comment. I hadn't yet read the resort yet. But, seeing as how you read the store, do you really think the "Sam" in "The Resort" is the same one in the "Store"? I'd love to hear what you think about it and maybe go into it a litle further. I'm still obcessed with this book, "The Store" thanks. Oh and btw, "The University" is an aswesome book.

I am a librarian that mostly reads non fiction. I was checking in "The Association" and read it because I am on my Condo's Home Owners Association. I am now in the process of reading all the library's collection! I loved it in "The Store" when Bill was shopping for books by his favorite author Phillip Emmons. I happen to like him, too!

I am a fan of Bentley Little. I read some message postings and saw that there were questions about what happened to Sam at the end of The Store. A Sam from Juniper, Arizona appears breifly in The Resort as a desk clerk at The Reata. I have read alot of Little's books, but I have not read The Mailman and The University. I cannot wait to read those because I read an interview with Little in which he describes those books as his favorites. I am curious about other specific characters showing up in later novels because I think Little's characters are so interesting. I wonder if Little will write a book about The Market, which he makes reference to at the end of The Store.

Yes like you I just knew it was her. I read this book like two years ago, and Im still kind of obsessed with it. We knew that she was doing all those things to get ahead. At first being somewhat coerced, then into other things. We knew that she was destined for other things in the company. But, what I wonder to this day is, when at the end she called home and said that she was coming back, she never did. her Mom and dad had no idea what happened to her. And I am still taken with the question of , What really did happen to her. We never found out and its still a burning question with me. Anyone with any ideas at all, please let me know. Thanks heaps. Oh The Store is really Walmart. As if you didn't know.

Did anybody else already know that it was Bill's daughter who was seducing him ? When I read it, I just knew it was her !!! What a sick book ! I loved it !
