Birth Message Board

Daniel Staebler posts a message on 9/28/2005 2:36:11 AM I've just watched BIRTH last night. The performances of the actors, with a special mention to Nicole Kidman, are excellent. The script of Jean-Claude Carrière, who wrote screenplays for Luis Buñuel, Andrzej Wajda and Milos Forman between others, is subtle and smart and the ambience of the movie sad like the end of autumn. The sole problem of BIRTH is its last quarter, roughly from Anne Heche's confession on. It's simply ridiculous and, in my opinion, it destroys the mysterious atmosphere created by the major part of the film. Right ?
