SARAH posts a message on 1/31/2005 2:29:37 PM HELLO JENNY, I'M 40 YEARS OLD THIS YEAR AND I WILL IN GREEN BAY WISCONSIN. IM PLANNING FOR A EUROPEAN VACATION IN JUNE 2006. I WILL PLAN A TRAVEL ROUTE FOR ALL THE CHITTY SIGHTS I CAN SEE. HAVE YOU SEEN THEM? WILL THEY BE EASY TO GET TO? IT WOULD BE NICE TO AVOID TOURIST TRAPS/BUS LINES AND IM WONDERING IF CHITTY SITES ARE WELL SOUGHT OUT OR DO JUST A FEW OF US FIND IT INTERESTING. DO YOU KNOW?
Jenny Arata posts a message on 1/29/2005 12:18:07 AM Sarah, I would LOVE to hear more about your vacation and see pictures of the places once you visit. I'm assuming we're about the same age since I too was Jemima's age at the time the film came out. I would have loved to have grown up at that farm and then to have someone like Truly Scrumptious come into my life... just heavenly. How can we get in touch?
SARAH posts a message on 1/28/2005 3:26:25 PM OH, THANK YOU, JENNY ARATA. ALL THIS INFORMATION IS SO HELPFUL. THE THOUGHT OF FINDING THESE LOCATIONS IS REALLY A DREAM. GROWING UP AND WATCHING CHITTY I COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN GEMIMA AND I WANTED TO LIVE THIS STORY. ALL THE MAIN CHARACTERS ARE VERY HONORABLE PEOPLE AND THEIR HOPEFULNESS AND INNOCENCE STILL MARVELS ME TODAY. THANK YOU, JENNY, FOR TAKING THE TIME TO HELP ME.

SALLY WAGTER posts a message on 1/27/2005 7:15:13 AM Hallo. I've been reading messages on this board and can see that others have written scripts forprimary versions of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I would like to put on a production in the summerof Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with my school of 90 children from reception to year 6. Does anyone have an adpted script they could share with me? and does anyone know about the licence situation for this production? Are we allowed to change the original script? Any answer would be GREATLY apprecited!! Thank you, Sally...
fiona thomson posts a message on 1/25/2005 8:41:05 AM When i was about 6 years old my father had an aerial construction business and he was called to a job in the broughty ferry road area of Dundee, imagine my surprise when the house belonged to jemima, it was a little girls dream turned true. I know have three children of my own and my youngest Kiera who is 3 is chitty daft. We are lucky because we live in Germany and are taking a trip in the summer to see the castle and Rothenberg ob der tauber where the childcatcher said, 'come and get yer lollipops!' still my favourite film.
Lisa posts a message on 1/18/2005 12:26:06 PM I just bought the movie for my nephew..he is afraid to watch it because he doesn't want to hear the "bang bang", too cute.
Jenny Arata posts a message on 1/18/2005 7:17:03 AM Okay, let's see... the beach scene is shot in St. Tropez, France at a beach called Cap Taillat. It's a nature reserve (wasn't then). The windmill and house (Potts Farm) is in Buckinghamshire County England in a little town called Turville. The windmill is the Ibstone Windmill. Truly's house is the Heatherdon Production building at Pinewood Studios. The bridge where and swan pond where she sings "Lovely Lonely Man" are also the back lot of Pinewood Studios, which is located in Ivar Heath, also Buckinghamshire. The duck pond is in Russells Water, also Buckinghamshire. The real castle was shot exterior only from a distance. All other castle interior and exterior scenes were built on the backlot of Pinewood Studios. The Vulgarian villiage is Rotterdam (sp?) in Bavaria. The original Chitty car is in England and is owned by Pierre Picton. Do searches on search engines and you'll find all these places and people. Hope this helps.
SARAH posts a message on 1/14/2005 11:53:22 AM I AM PLANNING A VACATION TO EUROPE AND WOULD LIKE TO VISIT ALL/ANY LOCATIONS FROM THE FILM. DOES ANYONE HAVE A MAP OF HOW TO FIND THE HOUSE, BEACH, THE BRIDGE, THE VILLAGE OR CAR? WAS THE NEUSWENSTEIN CASTLE USED FOR ONLY OUTSIDE SHOTS OR DID THEY ACTUALLY FILM INSIDE THE CASTLE? THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN PROVIDE. SARAH
Sarah C posts a message on 1/13/2005 6:44:10 PM Read on your website someone posted a message to say he 'heard' the car is now lovingly maintained and owned by a chap in Stratford-on-Avon. I have lived in Stratford-on-Avon all my 46 years and yes each parade in Summer and on odd days the car is seen in the town, the chap that owns it lives just outside in a nearby village, you cannot take rides or tours in it, but the chap does stop and answer many questions. The horn still works.
Alex posts a message on 1/11/2005 7:36:21 PM hello, could whoever has the script send it to me? i would GREATLY appreciate it....thanks incrediblybland@sbcglobal.net
