Mississippi Trial, 1955, is a work of historical fiction, that is, I blended historical fact with fiction to create the story. Hiram and his family, RC Rydell and his family, the Remington brothers, and some other characters all come from my imagination. Emmett and his family, the people who testify in the trial, and others connected to the trial and murder are all people from history.
