Christopher Paolini Message Board

Helen posts on 2/25/2009 6:53:40 PM Hello Dragon Fan, if you read my message you will see that I also treasure his books, and cannot wait to see his next book come out, it is a pity that it may take a year, as it seems that is how long each take to get out, I just want him to continue one with them, and not stop at 4, so I DEFINITLEY LOVE HIS BOOKS, AND HIS IMAGINATION AND I AM SURE A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE DO ALSO SO GO FOR IT CHRISTOPER AND GET THE NEXT MUCH WAITED BOOK OUT..........
Dragon Fan posts on 2/25/2009 6:48:57 PM What the hell??!!! Why is everyone so hard on C Paolini? I love his work and it is so freaking hard to try and write a book; you should attempt it and see if you can get it published. To do something that difficult at the age of fifteen, really tough. Christopher James Paolini, if you are reading this, I would like you to know that I am on your side and I love your books, THEY ARE GREAT!!!!!!
Helen posts on 2/23/2009 5:28:22 PM HI Raver, well I am a lot older than you in fact could just about be your mother, but I have to say these books are really an escape for me, I can understand that his books can get over discriptive, but I think that is what I like about them, as I can visualise exactly what is going on in them, it is like a mini movie for me, and takes me away from every day life, which by the way is extremely busy and concentrating on office etc, when I picked up and started to read this series of books, they were simple, and didnt require any realy concentration so the release had this calming effect on me and I was able to settle down and relax, but I think since I now have to wait till book 4 comes out that I will find these other books your talking about and see what they are like, thanks for the info on them.

Raver posts on 2/23/2009 7:13:18 AM When I first got a hold of the Eragon book I was fifteen, and boy did that book seem like the coolest thing I had ever read. But now I'm eighteen (three years posting here! Whoo!) and I just can't stomach reading through Brisingr. It really pales in comparison to others like Mirador, or Mercedes Lackey books.
Helen posts on 2/23/2009 3:52:58 AM Hi I would just like to say, that after 25 years of not reading any books because I have been so busy working all my life, I found loosing myself in the Eragon series amazing, the fantasy of of dragons and elves took me away from everyday life, and the depth of expession that Christopher goes to is amazing, so those of you here that are finding it difficult to get through his books you have missed a great read, I cant wait until his next book comes out, and will be sad when my fantasy finaly ends with the final book, you are obviously all very young and fantasy is an every day thing for you, but when you get older, finding something that can give you a little a little dream time, with a little fantasy throwen in. thanks Christopher, you have really helped me calm down and going into the office each day is less boring.
G-F_R posts on 2/20/2009 3:14:48 PM it seems like CP is running out of ideas so he's using alllooott of useless words to fill the gap but its not working. i guess he ran out of books to still idea's from.
Raver posts on 2/19/2009 5:35:47 PM Dankeson, for your help greeny! Yeah for some reason Chris' latest books have just seemed... really childish. Like their very simple, give too much discription of everything that happens, and really don't have alot of imagination. I read on a website that when you are writing don't go into a whole lot of detail when you bring up the past - only explain as much as is absolutely necesary to the story.

Dragon Rising posts on 2/1/2009 6:48:43 PM what the heck i havent posted since 1/3/2009, who posted that, and i will just ignore that. anybody can take ideas and put them into a book but not everyone can put those ideas in such a way that it captivates the reader and convinces them that its their own and im afraid cp is missing that spark witch all good fantasy writers should have
greeny posts on 1/21/2009 5:12:57 PM hey raver he broke his wrist when him and Brom were going to either teirm or from teirm to dras leona in that area lol.
