I dont like reading books at all until I saw my mom reading this book one day and she told me to read it when and when I did i fell in love with it!!! It has love,sadness & every feeling in it!! JOHNNY ANGEL<3333 best book!

I have a novel in which one subject is
similar to this one in "The Long Road
Home". Lila, daughter of a film star, is also abused by her mother, and her
defenders also suffer: her nanny's
husband is put to death, her school
teacher is sold to brothel because she
lowered mark for conduct to Lila's
classmate who threatened her: when Lila tried to defend her governess, she was shot and deprived of medical
treatment (she got it in the USSR).
Afterwards this film star orders to
demolish houses of nanny and maid, and
burn the home-personnel agency with its clerks... One years after, a So-viet doctor who saved Lila was tortured to death, and Lila was shot
and thrown to a lime pit.

I am only 12 years old and trust me I am not a book worm but my mom had read this book over the summer and told me to read it and I abosolutely fell in love with the novel I have read more than once and each time I read it I find somthing else that is heart wrenching or that amazes me so pick it up and read it.

The book was amazing!! I'm not one to sit down and read books, i'm a 15 year old sophmore and ususally use spark notes to do book reports, but this is not a book you want to do that with! It can be very sad and touching but it is a great book with great meaning, it really shows you how things can change in just an instant! It is a book you just don't want to put down, and a book that will not put you to sleep. I love the book and recomend it to everyone!
