s.w posts on 8/14/2008 7:24:45 AM after almost 5 years of reading the 'a child called it' 2days ago i came across daves 'My story'. i was so excited because i really wanted to read 'a man called dave'.I had to refresh my memory of the 'lost boy', before i read a man called dave and it was exceptional. i even cried when i finished the book(it took me 2days to read). Who would think a 22yr old black girl from london, England would be brought to tears by a book.

Sara posts on 7/23/2008 3:34:35 PM All these awfulcomments are disgusting, dave seems like a brave and genuin man, he has been through so much and a admire everything he has done. Comments like the awful ones on here should not be allowed!!!!
Jessica's_mummy2008 posts on 7/20/2008 3:15:06 AM I have read Dave's book "MY STORY" at least 3 times, although it disturbed me quite a lot the first time around and I cried most of my way through it. He has done himself proud after all what he's been through he still got through all what life threw at him. That book has inspired me, I am 23 years old and I have a daughter of my own who's a year old next month and it has shown me how to be a good parent! I can only imagine what it was like for Dave as a child but I do know how one mother can change in a blink of an eye and have lots of rage build up inside her!
vicki posts on 7/18/2008 2:05:30 PM as a mother of 5 i cant believe a mother can single out one child and abuse it so badly. As many mothers around the world i love all my kids the same and would do anything to protect them.you are such a strong person when many of us would have given up on life and love.
