Anything Coming? Soon?
I was at a Yeshiva / Science Fiction party around 1981 or 2 and some one had left a copy of Analog laying around. I happened to pick it up a found part one of "Emergence" . You had me hooked from that point forward. I bought all the rest of the issues and then went looking for more. Next came Threshold. Which I still read at least once a year.
I waited and waited for the promised sequel of Ragnarok (I'm still waiting!).
In 2008 the dry spell ended, "Tracking!" more Candy! Because my copies of those issues of Analog were wearing out from use, I scanned all the pages and reassembled the short stories into a novel as a single read. They are on every device I own so when I need a good story to read, I always have your work.
I know you got some heat for the violence in "Tracking" and not appropriate behavior for a "young-girl", Screw'em! The Mrs. Grundy's of the world don't matter!
Please write or publish more! I'll help with publishing costs in I can for limited edition runs of new material. I can't be the only one that wants more of the brilliant story telling that is your gift.
My warmest regards for the pleasure you have provided me and I sincerely hope for more.

Another well-wisher here. Loved Threshold. Very much hoping Speecial Education makes an appearance someday though not holding my breath. I'd pay silly amounts of money just for a .pdf at this point :(

Update: Apparently "wormhole Press" which was supposed to be publishing Palmer books is defunct. (or was never funct in the first place.) Internetz searches shows it thas no inventory, no products, and "1" employee. Oh well, it looked good on paper.

See my previous post. That said, I'm sure he's out there somewhere wrestling with his latest book. I hope.

This is par for the course for him. No surprise. If we are fortunate, at some point, there will be another book.

Yeah, I don't know waht's going on, but I've heard for 25 years "I'll be writing and/or publishing real soon! Really! Just hang in there, guys and books will soon flow like water." I hope Mr Palmer doesn't become like J.D. Salinger or Harper Lee, publishes one or two books, then becomes a recluse.

I just tried the e-mail address I've used to correspond with him, and that account has apparently been deactivated. Very curious!
