wanderlust~bob posts on 8/15/2005 1:17:38 AM Davida, I can not express in words how i felt about this book. i lost my best friend several yesrs ago and also have lost two friends to cancer. I'm not sure you can ever replace a best friend and i thought what you wrote from both Sam and Jules viewpoints was so on target. how much input did you have on the movie, i was sorry to read reviews that said it wasnt true to the book as i was picturing a movie in my head before i knew one existed, and thought how many oscars it would win. look very forward to reading the second book and then your new one too.

davida wills hurwin posts on 6/23/2005 1:31:52 PM lisa - i'm not sure exactly which quote- but i think it was the screenwriter's, and not mine. the quote at the end of my book is from sam at the services for Julie. I won't tell you what it is in case you read the book. I'm very sorry about your friend.
lisa posts on 6/22/2005 5:34:24 PM i have yet to read the book a time for dancing, but i did see the movie, mainly because.. well.. im a dancer haha. anyways, im not sure if the quote at the end of the movie is also in the book but i am looking so hard for it to give my friend some inspiration after her best friend passed. its the quote about having regrets that sam uses. please let me know.. and i do plan on picking up the book soon, if i could pay off my library fine hehe.
Jeanette posts on 6/17/2005 6:10:06 PM A time for dancing is my absolute favorite book ever!I laughed and i cried but never wanted to put the book down. I now am reading the sequel the further you run. These books no boubt in my mind are the best books ever!!
davida wills hurwin posts on 6/13/2005 7:40:49 PM Katie - I'm glad you liked it... Karen - knowing a young dancer who fought cancer and bravely continued to work in her dance company was the inspiration for ATFD. I had to try to figure it out for myself - I didn't even intend to write a book until I was far into the story. Thanks for asking!
