Dean Koontz Message Board

posts on 8/16/2006 2:38:13 PM I am surprised that Dean would allow them to make a movie of his books again. If you saw Watchers you would know what a terrible job they did. And the others were changed so much they were almost not the same book. I too can't wait for the third Frankenstien.
posts on 8/14/2006 12:39:20 AM I also read the first and second Frankenstein books. I am so anxious to read the third one. I had heard it was to be released this summer...guess I heard wrong. I was hoping it would be out soon, I seem to miss the characters dearly. I was thinking about purchasing The husband, I have heard good things about it. Also, for you Dean fanatics I found this; Random House and Focus Features are teaming to develop a new film based on Dean Koontz's upcoming novel, The Husband. Variety says the thriller will take place over 60 hours and follow the sacrifices a man makes for the love of his wife; The Husband is heading into production immediatly.
posts on 8/12/2006 11:56:15 AM Sharon, the name of the book is Watchers. It is my fvorite of all his books. One of the reasons I enjoy his writings so much is because he does not kill animals just to shock. If an animal dies its because it has to.

posts on 8/11/2006 11:59:55 PM I love Dean Koontz I've been reading him since for six years now. My favorite book is Intensity. Has anyone read the Frankenstein books?
posts on 8/11/2006 1:54:20 PM I'm trying to remember the title of the Koontz novel with the super intelligent dog named Einstein. Was it Dark Rivers of the Heart?
posts on 8/8/2006 2:53:34 PM June, the earliest I heard was early 07. I agree, I can't wait for it either. If he is writing a third Odd book I hope he goes back to the first book and all the great characters. The second book would have made a good short story.
posts on 8/7/2006 10:42:55 PM Any information on the release of Frankenstein: Book Three? I've read the first two and can't wait for the third! June B.
posts on 7/31/2006 2:14:03 PM Marcy, tell your friend tha Dean is an animal lover. Tell her to read Watchers. That will give her an idea how he feels about animals. The only animals that get hurt are the ones that need to be hurt. Tell her about Trixe and tell her to go on Trixes web page.
posts on 7/31/2006 11:35:10 AM I read Dean Konntz's Intensity several years ago and I recently recommended it to a friend. However, she is crazy when it comes to animals and will not watch or read anything that has violence against animals. I cannot remember if any animals get hurt or die in Intensity. Please advise. Thank you.
posts on 7/8/2006 11:32:37 AM No unfortuneatly no one knows whether there is going to be a movie but i believe there will be one when he finishes the third book.
