Thanks, Chris, for your comments. I'm delighted to know you've enjoyed the books. Regarding sequels to REALM OF LIGHT, there will be two. The first is THE PEARLS. It will come out this December. The second is tentatively titled THE CROWN, and I'm writing it now. It should be out in 2008.

Hello! I know I'm probably a bit late, seeing as how the last post was in October. But I just wanted to comment on how enthralling every one of your books are, at least the books I've read. The whole series of both the Ruby Throne and the Sword, the Ring, and the Chalice are captivating and, at times, completely immersive. I can't wait for the next installment in Dain's series, if there is one. Oh, and one question: Is there anything after the Realm of Light?

I would prefer to write one more book about Dain to tie up some plot threads that are presently dangling, but since the series is now in suspension I don't know when I'll get to do that story.

The books fall in this order: The Sword, The Ring, The Chalice, The Queen's Gambit, The King Betrayed, The Queen's Knight,The King Imperiled.
After you read the first three you can decide if you want to continue reading them in published order, or if you prefer to follow the Nether series, read the books with King in the title. If you like Pheresa of Mandria better, you can pick out the books with Queen in the title.
They run fairly parallel at first, but the Nether books span longer sections of time than the Mandrian ones.

I was just wondering if either series, the one with Pheresa or Faldain would be continued.

That's a good question about Lord Perrell. How observant of you! I meant to deal with this in the next book about Pheresa and Talmor, but that project's been put on delay by my publisher, so I'll just say that Pheresa still loves Talmor and always will, but she's politically maneuvered into a loveless official marriage in name only with Perrell. Guierre is in reality the lovechild of Pheresa and Talmor, which is why Perrell doesn't love him, but the truth is kept secret so that he can be the heir to the throne.

In "The King Imperiled" Lord Perrell was refered to as the Lord Consort. Does this mean that Queen Pheresa marries Perrell instead of Talmour?
