Any idea when Lehane's next book is coming out? Also, have we seen the last of Kenzie/Gennaro?

Shalom Irali writer! I'm not sure Denis Lehane reads this board, it's usually for his fans to post comments. What is the name of your book?

Shalom Dennis Lehane,
I am an Israeli Journalist turned writer and have completed my first
(in a series) thriller novel.
Since you are a "series," author I would like to ask if you would happen
to know whether your agent is taking on new authors. If so could you
give me her/his email address so I could contact her/him.
Thank you in advance,
Aizic Sechter

another thing to do is to read the book again, at least parts of it. It has been awhile, but I remember the part when Teddy meets the two doctors for the first time. The other doctor says how Ted is a "man of violence" and how he is facinated by him. Now how would he know Ted so well if he had just met him. Another little clue that you miss the first time.

Thanks Bob. I agree with that. Also, Teddy speaks of seeing compassion in Dr. Cawley's tired eyes at time. This convinced me that the Doctor was trying to help Teddy.

I belive he was insane. The key is the point in the book when he is thinking about his wife. She is clearly a mentally disturbed woman when he is thinking back to her. Killing his children was what made him go insane and end up on Shutter Island. Also, why would his "partner" just give him up like that in the end if he was sane. It was a great plot twist.

I am totally confused by the ending. Did the author intend for this? Did Lehane want us to choose the ending they wanted?

I just finished the book - read it in one day. I thought it was very good, although I picked up the name anagrams about midway through, but was curious to see how it would play out. Plot twist a little too similiar to movie "Memento"
My opinion on last page? Relapse, Straightjacket - Labotomy here he comes....

I thought it was not a relapse. Teddy admits to the doctors that they are right, Teddy = Andrew. But, I thought he did this simply to avoid having a labotomy, as evidence by one of hislast lines..."Think they have us figured out yet?"
Also, I think its pretty clear that what the doc was holding was a straight jacket (the metal being the buckles).
