Hi All - it has been a long time, i hope everybody is well. In lieu of the coming date I have just started to re-read The cat that came in from the cold. I miss being able to think as I always did when reading his books that he was out there somewhere making people smile :o) Best wishes to Aileen, Annie and family x

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
The family thank you all again for your kindness one year on since Deric's passing. There will be a family gathering at Aileen's house at the weekend to mark the occasion an I have collected some apt readings about birds (which you know he loved) and loss but happy bits too!
The latest "lost" manuscripts are to be published as Radio Times Take 3 on the same day, 21st July.

Hi Diana. I too have been aware of the date soon approaching. I miss knowing Deric was reading our posts and laughing along with us. He always had a way of surprising all of us with a silly story that always made my day. I miss all of the regulars as well. Take care, and try to think of happy thoughts of Deric. Love, Jan

Hello everyone. Just had to post as you're probably feeling rather sad at the moment. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Aileen and all the family as the anniversary approaches. Still love Deric's books and humor. Specially thinking of you - love Diana, Southampton xx

Hi all - time to write something here again...
Thanks, Annie, for the info about the books now being available as e-books. Remember I didn't have a Kindle when "Tailpieces" came out and shared the "You can download the Kindle-App for free"-news? I have purchased a "real Kindle" in the meantime for which (after reading Annie's message) I just bought those two books. I ran out of stuff to read this morning, so this was really perfect timing.
Hope everything's going well for everyone around here?!
Many greetings from Germany, Andrea

Hi Gill and All. Just checking in. I always look to see if there are any messages, at least once a week. I miss the comradery and connecting with all my friends who loved Deric and his books the way I do. I still recommend them whenever I get the chance. Best of luck on your move Gill. Hope it's not too far from work. Hugs and kisses to Annie, Aileen, and all my friends who post here. xxoo Jan

Hello again! Just read about the new books coming out. Annie, what a great idea! We do take the Radio Times, so will they be connected or advertised in this? Haven't spotted anything yet. Love to all, Diana - Southampton xxx

This question isn't Deric related, but I've recently watched several movies set in England like Notting Hill. And I noticed that they didn't have door knobs, just dead bolts. Is that an English custom, or just a quirk in those movies? Thanks from sunny Arizona!
