A black jack i beleive is a sort of a sack with lead balls in it i think, my teacher is reading this in class so she explained. i think the setting is probably late 90s or early 2000s because of the printing stuff or whatever. hope that answers the question.

i really liked this book but i wanted to watch a movie about it because the book is a little confusing and i couldn't find the movie.

I wish everyone had better spelling and grammer when they write. Also, I wonder did they find out why the weird things happened like the muck fire?

What year does this story supposedly take place? I noticed that the kid has a Houston Oilers sweatshirt which leads me to believe that the setting is some time in the 1990s or earlier. Is this correct?

i really liked your book tangerine. it was good. i enjoyed reading it because it had a lot of diferent things hapening at the same time.
