I love all of your books! I have read them all multiple times, and I can't wait for Tricks this August. I would also like to know what Perfect is about :)

What is Ellen Hopkins book Perfect about? I know its coming out in 2011, but that seems to be the only info about it I can find.

Britanny, It isn't Ellen's decision to make her books to movies. A producer has to read it and like it enough to believe it will make him/her money if it'd be a movie. But I know Ellen has a CRANK script for shopping and got an offer but wasn't a good offer so she declined it. (Ellen and I talk a lot, which is how I know this...)

ellen, you have to make one of your books a movie i read all of your books and twilight is becoming an epidemic, and i really think that your books are so much better and i know that being a teenager i would rather see a movie about something thats real and not vampires. please, make it happen!

My mom was my biggest influence when it came to instilling a love of language and books in me at a very young age. I also had great teachers all the way through school who kept telling me I should be a writer. As for subject matter, CRANK (my first novel) was a story I "had" to tell because it belonged to my family. Then I discovered a passion for issue-oriented subject matter.

Ellen, I'm doing an author's project on you about your influences and inspirations. Is there anyone or anything that really made you go into writing and about the issues you discuss?
