Ivy posts on 4/26/2009 11:19:52 PM I love all of your books! I have read them all multiple times, and I can't wait for Tricks this August. I would also like to know what Perfect is about :)
Kaity posts on 4/26/2009 10:20:09 PM What is Ellen Hopkins book Perfect about? I know its coming out in 2011, but that seems to be the only info about it I can find.
Joey posts on 4/25/2009 6:24:15 PM Britanny, It isn't Ellen's decision to make her books to movies. A producer has to read it and like it enough to believe it will make him/her money if it'd be a movie. But I know Ellen has a CRANK script for shopping and got an offer but wasn't a good offer so she declined it. (Ellen and I talk a lot, which is how I know this...)
Kelsey posts on 4/20/2009 5:41:45 PM I am doing a podcast for Frederick County's Literacy fair on your books Crank and Glass. Do you have any suggestions because i have no clue what to do :)
Brittany posts on 4/14/2009 6:58:01 PM ellen, you have to make one of your books a movie i read all of your books and twilight is becoming an epidemic, and i really think that your books are so much better and i know that being a teenager i would rather see a movie about something thats real and not vampires. please, make it happen!
Ellen posts on 4/9/2009 10:21:00 AM My mom was my biggest influence when it came to instilling a love of language and books in me at a very young age. I also had great teachers all the way through school who kept telling me I should be a writer. As for subject matter, CRANK (my first novel) was a story I "had" to tell because it belonged to my family. Then I discovered a passion for issue-oriented subject matter.
Gina posts on 4/9/2009 3:01:47 AM Ellen, I'm doing an author's project on you about your influences and inspirations. Is there anyone or anything that really made you go into writing and about the issues you discuss?
