One comment, referencing the Apache and Chinook Aircraft being built by McDonald Douglas is not quite correct. Boeing Co. designs and builds these aircraft. Boeing bought McDonald Douglass as few year back.
wllionking posts on 12/7/2005 7:31:56 AM Here are a Q&A taken from his website that deal with questions posted to this site about the Pearl Saga. It doesn't sound too encouraging for a near term release. Q: I have just finished reading the 3rd book of the pearl saga and I cant wait for the 4th one to come out. I was wondering when that will be and if you have a title for it so that i may keep a look out. A: So many people are writing in with the same question that I thought I'd post this to the Web site. The fourth book in The Pearl saga is in the planning stages. No title yet and no pub date yet, either. Please check back frequently to the Web site for updates -- this is where you'll read it first! Right now, I'm finishing up a thriller, The Bravo Testament, which will be published in the Autumn of 2006 by Forge Books. Later on this summer, I'll be starting the next Jason Bourne novel. Q: I am in Australia and read Cage of the Nine Banestones. You stated on your website that there are significant edits/changes between Cage and Mistress of the Pearl. Would you be able to elaborate on that some?? A: Thanks for asking this question. First off, let me tell you how this came about. Because HarperCollins, my UK publisher needs to get their books shipped out to you in Australia, as well as bookstores in New Zealand, their publication schedule is different than Tor, my U.S. publisher. I actually had to rush the editing process to get the books ready for the U.K. and for you. Since I had more time for the U.S. release, I went back and added some things, took out others, cleaned up some sentences I didn't like. The changes are too numerous, and in many instances, too small to list here. The best way to find out is to buy a copy of each and read them both!
george rash posts on 11/8/2005 3:31:55 PM I've only read the Pearl Saga, and personnaly I love the series, been waiting for the 4th one to come out, still no idea when or what it will be called. My real question though isn't that. Instead, around January or February 05 (can't remember and my books are over 10,000 miles away right now, literally) I bought the 3rd book to the series, but it was called "The Nine Banestones". When I first heard about "The Mistress of the Pearl", I was like wow! He's already written the 4th book. Instead, it has the exact same cover, and when I flipped through it, I recognized everything I saw as being from the same book. Is anyone able to explain how the book's named changed and there is no reference to the copy that I currently own?

Terence Moodie posts on 6/2/2005 8:51:50 AM The following is an extract from a generally positive review: ... Khan's ability to trail Bourne is almost too good to be true in spots. Bourne's abilities to escape from tight jams also become formulaic after a while, and the rope from which I suspend my disbelief while reading thrillers of this nature was almost frayed beyond repair by the time I reached the conclusion.
Terenc e Moodie posts on 6/1/2005 10:02:17 PM I was very disappointed with Eric van Lustbader's effort with The Bourne Legacy. Having read all of Eric's books and many of Ludlum's, I expected much better from a writer of such excellent novels as the Nicholas Linnear series and his other books. I remember vividly the enjoyment of my first reading of The Ninja and have reread it and other Lustbader books many times over the past years. While I enjoyed Ludlum's earlier novels, his story writing standards seemed to slip markedly somewhere after The Bourne Identity and I stopped buying Ludlum at about the time of The Icarus Agenda. The best test of whether I am enjoying a book or not is whether I read every word on a page, or skim through the "bumpff" until I reach more interesting writing. If I have to skim very often, it usually means I put down the book without finishing it. This happened often with the later Ludlum books and happened again with The Bourne Legacy, although I did force myself to read through to page 304 before giving up. I must say that the ONLY reason I bought the book was because it was written by van Lustbader. I do hope Eric van Lustbader continues to write his own novels, in his own inimitable style, and leaves Ludlum's inheritance to the likes of the slick marketing machine that apparently convinced Eric to complete the final Bourne story.
Lee Brown posts on 6/1/2005 11:29:37 AM I feel sure Ludlum would be very Pleased with your effort. as for me, I loved it, i want MORE
Russ posts on 5/22/2005 10:14:49 PM I've been a big fan of Mr. Lustbader's since 1984. Started with the Miko and went back to the beginning and have read all the ninja books. Now reading the Pearl series. Thanks for all the fine work. I am looking to try and find where I can send a book for an autograph. Could someone please help me with this?
Tyger Conner posts on 5/19/2005 2:09:45 PM I'm an action junkie. I have all of Ludlum's books. When he passed, I didn't think anyone could come close to his style, well besides Trevanian; I didn't think anyone could carry on the ever-loving Jason Bourne series...but, I'm impressed. I absolutely loved Ludlum and now I can add Lustbader to that list as well. Thanks Eric. Let's have more, please.
tony mendonca posts on 5/18/2005 1:04:46 AM Have any or are any of Eric's books being made into movies ? When are we going to have Book 4 in the Pearl Saga ?
