I heard they were remaking this classic and I just about tossed my cookies. NO! And they arent even including Kurt Russell in it. At least he could have played the role of the prison warden. Its creepy watching this movie since 9-11 since the World Trade Center is in it before those Ay-rabs blew em up. I wont pay to see this remake with Russell in it. Remakes of claAZnyway the ssic like this always come up empty. The worst was the remake of Rollerball in 2002 - what a steaming pile of crap. But I digress. The best of part of Escape from NY was Mr. President shooting the Duke of NY screaming "Youre the Duke of New York, A Number One!" as he pumped him full of lead.
