Gerald A. Browne Message Board

barbara Tahir posts on 6/7/2005 10:43:40 AM I read Slide many years ago in the 1970's. Can anyone confirm my recollection that the novel was set in Bluebird Canyon where a slide actually happened in 1978 and again this year? I know I have a copy of the book somewhere but my "collection" is in boxes since a move from Southern California to Maryland.

marcy posts on 5/26/2005 4:04:18 PM No, we're not patient, but we are waiting. If there is anything to come, you can be sure it will be worth the wait.. No commericial rush from GAB and "Thanks" for that. Only a few in this age worth following, and GAB is in that few.

art balbirer posts on 5/26/2005 2:45:54 PM I've read all of Gerald Browne's books and have waited patiently for the next one. It seems like years since the last one!! Will there be more or is it a case of "writer's block"? Where in Litchfiled County were you raised? I have a home in Bethlehem. Where in Arizona do you live? Near Tucson by any chance?
ronsimeone posts on 5/19/2005 3:50:49 AM HI GAB: is there hope for your devoted and loyal fans? can we expect a new publication soon? for many years you have been my literary Michelangelo. Thanks!
Lea posts on 3/31/2005 10:08:13 AM Thanks for the info. Maybe we will get lucky and it will be released. I read Stone 588 1st, got hooked and then read everything else of Mr. Browne's I could find. I love his characters, plots and especially the description of the gems.
Michael posts on 3/30/2005 6:17:09 PM I recall a posting from GAB himself in late 2003 stating that he had not completed the book. Don't know that he has ever indicated if he planned to finish it or not.
Lea posts on 3/30/2005 5:24:04 PM Michael - If you don't mind my asking - Why do you think that Rush 929 will never be released? I enjoy Mr. Browne's writing and was hoping that he would have another one. Thanks Lea
Michael posts on 3/29/2005 6:09:39 PM See back in early 2004 on this board. We've been trying to track this book for a long time but I don't think it is finished. Not sure now if it ever will be.
