I am inlove with these series, I hate to read but I cant put these down! Im looking so forward to 'Last Summer' and Im not even done the second book yet! PS even though George is just a fictional character, he it the perfect guy

Thank heavens my teenager started to read the book and realized that the author was as shallow as a puddle of water. I read everything she reads, but what about the parents who aren't paying attention. I know the Mother of the girl that lent my daughter these books probably doesn't have any idea what's in here. To me, for the author to suggest that it is appropriate to drown your sorrows every time things don't go your way is very irresponsible.

Okay first off, Sarah Dessen's books aren't THAT good. I've read This Lullaby, Just Listen, and a bunch others of hers, and I got sooo bored.
Maybe Hailey Abbott only talks about sex or boys, but isn't that what most teenage girls think about?

I have read summer boys and next summer.. I am so excited for the summer after.. I love beth and George together.. I wish i could find the next book but i can't find it anywhere.

I'm assuming that most of the people who wrote that this author, and her books, was outstanding. As a junior high librarian, and having bought this book for my school library (having read reviews where it said it was geared for 12-15yr olds), I can only say that I am disgusted with her writing, and that it is as close to soft porn as a kid in school is going to get.
The characters are not well defined, there is next to no plot, except to find boys and to have sex, and is just playing into the hands of kids who have no parents around who know what they are in to. No parental guidance. So, of course, this is a teen age girl's dream.
It's smut. Not worth it. Go buy Sarah Dessen's books. Much better written, and deals with teens and their issues in a great way. My kids at school love them.

I think Summer Boys and the rest of the books she be turned in to movies. They were the best books i have ever read.
