posts on 6/24/2006 9:51:37 PM Valiant will come out around summer of 2007. I think it'll be ok, I was hoping Tithe came first because I'd definitely like a blonde Asian loner than a fist fighting jock any day.
posts on 6/24/2006 8:13:23 PM i would love to see tithe be made into a movie. i loved the book and i thought roiben was so hot. he sounded hot in the book and i loved kaye. it was so sad whenever janet died by the kelpie i sort of knew it was coming. well i loved this book better than valiant it was good but not as good as tithe
posts on 6/22/2006 6:22:51 AM FINALLY someone agrees with me. (see my previous post). And who DOESN"T love Roiben? Seriously, let me come face to face with that person and we'll see what happens...

posts on 6/21/2006 3:55:26 PM I love this book! Kaye is awesome to me because I comepletely relate to her. Roiben is hot! I havent even seen him and he's just in my mind. Corny would be a really cool friend, because hes not all like "Oh my GOD I love your shoes" kind of gay. Janet was alright I guess. I hate Kelpies though! I didn't really know WHAT to think of Roiben after a while, but then I was cool with him.
posts on 6/20/2006 1:42:53 PM What do you think about Valiant? I was pretty disappointed, I liked Tithe so much better
posts on 6/15/2006 2:53:17 AM i loved corny. he was an angry punk faggot. what is more lovable than that? as for the gay manga..japanese people love gay stuff, so anyone who's into japanese comics wouldn't have been surprised when reading that particular detail. so yeah, for those who still get all uncomfortable with anything "gay" related (republican, aren't you) or "angry" related (democrat, aren't you) then corny must've been an unpleasant character. ok that's my two cents on why i like corny=)
posts on 6/9/2006 11:34:47 AM I thought Valiant was just better in general because the characters felt more real. They acted like teenagers, and their interaction was overall better. I really didn't like Kaye, though, especially near the middle. So maybe I'm biased...
posts on 6/5/2006 9:44:21 PM Ha, definitely! Or maybe Tithe was better because it had a variety of situations. For example, in one book we had like three assassinations (one of which was never successful: Nephamael on Kaye's mom), a total contrast between the glamor of the fairy court and the backstreets of New Jersey, a romance, homosexuality, deaths, shopping... she invited the guy HOME, introduced him to her MOTHER, YOU GET THE POINT... whereas in Valiant there were many scenes and settings with the same feel (a drunken sense of whatever was going on) I also think that the good thing about Tithe was, the main showdown didn't occur at the end (here I mean the thing where Nicnevin dies); there was a lot that happened afterwards, so basically it was a sequel in itself. Valiant had the climax and the settling down, and that was it. (Although the thing with the message when she was on the swingset was pretty nice). So: those are my reasons, add to them, argue, agree, whatever you want...
posts on 6/4/2006 11:03:44 PM I think Tithe was better cause we could relate more to the characters. I would rather fall in love with a fairy than a troll any day.
posts on 6/4/2006 9:36:48 PM actually I heard that Valiant was going to be made into a movie, not sure when though, and I have to admit, I like Tithe more, maybe it's just because I read it first...?
