Howard Zinn Message Board

aphistory2kid :) posts on 8/12/2009 7:08:36 PM JJ, you were quite helpful. i am reading chapter 11, robber barons and rebels, for my summer assignment. so the basic theme is the rich against the poor/middle classes? because from teh 7 pages of the chapter that i hvae read so far, he seems to support the people's write. well duh, hence "a people's history". anyways, just doublechecking, i want to make sure im understanding this properly.
JJ posts on 9/16/2007 9:56:59 PM To find the main idea of the book and all chapters simply read the afterward. It's economics, always economics with Zinn. The have's against the have not's. Communism, Marxism, that's what he's all about. Read, people, read.
