posts on 10/1/2006 10:08:20 PM We first saw Daffyd at the councilcourt in Sutirium when Elspeth was waiting to be judged defective and sent to Obernewtyn. Later Elspeth finds out he is an armsman of Henry Druid but that he is also among a group of misfits within the Druid camp. Daffyd pops up in the books several times...hopefully that bit of info joggs the memory.
posts on 10/1/2006 8:06:46 PM I read the first book something like 9 years ago and now it's really embaressing having to go to the young adults section to check if the books are out (i'm already a 2nd year uni student) despite this, i've sort of managed to maintain some level of interest in the series but not enough it seems. could someone please remind me who Daffyd is?
posts on 10/1/2006 3:41:25 PM Hi, I was wondering if The Sending was the next book in the Ober. chronicles?! Thanks a lot!

posts on 9/21/2006 3:11:50 AM IC has said that Matthew is not the destroyer but then she has said that about most of the lead characters. darkbane is still due out in 2008, that is if the sending isn't pushed back again. who knows, it may even come out first. cheers
posts on 9/19/2006 9:23:16 PM I have the dreadful feeling that Matthew may be the destroyer. Iam re-reading the books and feel that there is something sinister to come from his interest in the beforetimers and the machienes. Perhaps to his strained relationship with Dragon will tie in somewhere also. Or, i'm again clutching at straws...?! Was Darkbane still due out a year after the Sending?
posts on 9/18/2006 4:03:59 PM Hello, could you please send me characters profile for this book, The gathering? I really need those, Characters profile. Thanks.
posts on 9/16/2006 6:20:12 AM i really liked the first two books in the gateway trilogy and am waiting for the third book to come out... does anyone know when it will be released in Australia?
posts on 9/10/2006 1:56:51 AM IC in one of her interveiws has said that Daffyd has a big part to play in the sending. I think he will go with Elf to TLOTRQ because thats where his friends are. So there will be Elf, Swallow, Daffyd, and maybe Rushton heading out in the final chapter. only one year to go (hopefully) and we will all finally know. cheers.
posts on 9/7/2006 5:11:05 AM exactly aussie elspeth, that is what i was thinking, and im sorry if it came out aggressively. i think i was in a bit of a bad mood. apologies, hello. daffyd just keeps on showing up, doesnt he? when i first read ober, i thought he would come up again, and when he did, i automatically thought he would be important. but he has done very little so far.
posts on 9/7/2006 1:48:25 AM I have decided to finally go back and read the Obernewtyn Chronicals again, I feel that there is so much in these books i have missed in my first 2 reads. Daffyd always stuck in my mind as someone who would come to importance later, not that i know why. Hello: you really should read the books, there fab and i dont think you could summarise chapters, you would miss too much info/action.
