Hip hip Hooray. Now we have heard form the horses mouth. Amanda will ride again and I can't wait to go on the journey with her.

Here's how things stand for the moment. My next book out will likely be The Arctic Event from Robert Ludlum's Covert One series with a release date of either April or November of 06. The hang up between Warner books and St. Martin's Press has been resolved and things are back on track. I'm looking forward to hearing what you have to say about this most interesting new project.
Also Phantom Force is being reviewed by the editors of Bain Books at this time. We should hear something soon. Also we're getting a nibble from another major publisher. Amanda will ride again.

Baen has been closed mouthed about the possibility of publishing Phantom Force. Hopefully we should hear something in early November.

Another new Amanda Garrett fan - great.
If you read all the back mail you would know we are all eagerly awating Phantom Force. We hope Baen Books are going to publish it.

I have just recently come into the fan fold for Mr. Cobb. I finished reading Target Lock (my first Cobb book) and loved it. I am eagerly awaiting the follow up to it as the story was left open.
Mr. Cobb, do you have a follow up book to this and if so, any idea when it will be out?
I plan on reading the previous Amanda Garrett Series books in the meantime.
Thanks and great job!

Has anyone heard anything? I often visit the Baen Bar, but have not heard if Baen has taken Jim on as a writer. I was hoping to have heard by now either way.
Jim, anything you can share with us at this point?

Hello Mr Cobb, I hope you get this. My husband gave me "Choosers of the Slain" and regretted it when I couldn't put it down. Read it overnight in one sitting, and then read it again slowly over the next week. I went looking for more and found "Storm Dragon" and then "Sea Fighters". Our local book store then told me about "Target Lock" but despite trying for months couldn't get a copy. Eventually with the help of a friend, who had a friend, I managed to import a copy. I live in Sydney, Australia and I have been searching for news of you for months and have just found this site. Whatever bee those publishers have in their bonnets, please ignore them and keep your books coming. All the best, Irene Goard

What great books and how disappointing Mr. Cobb doesn't have an American publisher for his next book. I'm an avid reader of Baen Books and I think these stories fit right in, even though they aren't strictly science fiction. I'd love to see Mr. Cobb as a Baen author.

I think this series is one of the best I've read. I hope to see this series continue.

IMO Amanda Garrett would be a great fit at Baen, she reads with intensity similar to that of a number of Baen's authors. Hopefully they make JC an offer that works. Starting to wonder about JC's agent though. Can't wait for Phantom Force. Wonder if I could wade through the auf deutsch version ...
