I read a brief article about the book, but not one to spend the money on a hard cover, I waited eagerly until the paperback came out. August 1st we were on vacation in Williamsburg and I was thrillled to grab the first and only copy in the bookstore. I could not put it down from the moment I picked it up, much to the dismay of my family. I loved the Lonely Doll book!! I still have my original copy purchased for me in 1962 when I was two. The story of Dare wright was so facinating and well written. The end of Dare Wright's life was a tragedy. How unfair for someone who brought so many of us joy as children to have lived and died so sadly. An excellent excellent book!!!!!
