Jeannette Walls Message Board

laurie posts on 5/26/2009 7:29:26 PM jeannette walls is so right a childhood like that can make a person feel like a freak and through sharing i think it somehow normalizes ones life and perspective.Keeping secrets and pretending life was diferent puts a whole different but similar stress in ones life it was a great read and with a paralell childhood it was very relateable.
Stacey Thompson posts on 5/11/2009 5:50:57 PM Hi Jeannette! I loved your book am reviewing it for our book club this week. I have been searching the internet for information about you and have found a lot of great things. The only thing I can't seem to find is information about what you are doing now. I know you are writing books, but if you have a minute and can write me as to any detail (obviously, I am not looking for personal information) as to the types of things you are doingl, your families whereabouts, are you and John still in the same place, etc. I can't seem to find much info since you quit MSNBC to write. Maybe I am looking in all the wrong places. I look forward to doing this review and thank you for such a great contribution. With admiration and respect. Stacey Thompson
belynda posts on 9/12/2008 5:00:54 PM I've just read the Glass Castle for the second time. I googled Rosemary Walls and there's a story about her apartment building being destroyed by fire. Does anyone know if she is still alive?

mary brown millis posts on 7/12/2008 3:45:13 AM Hi! I loved the book. I would like to know more about the walls family. My grandfather was Carlos H. Walls. My aunt took us to Welch, so I could see where my Mom grew up. I hope we are family, because I loved the book. Is there anyway to get a signed copy? I will pay for it. My aunt would loveit. Thanks I hope to hear from you soon Mary Brown Millis

Eadie Allen posts on 2/15/2007 2:04:17 PM Dear Jeannette, Since writing to you, I’ve completed another novel, not about myself, but a more interesting subject. I’m now working on one more piece of fiction. Each time I say it will be my last book, another idea comes along that I can’t ignore. I’ve been looking for more of your writing, hoping to be able to congratulate you on your next efforts. I’d love to hear from you again, authors must communicate with their fellow writers, as well as their audience. I believe in that strongly, and will answer anyone who writes to me. To me, there is nothing more thrilling than a good book, writing or reading it. Warm Wishes, Eadie Allen
