J.K. Rowling Message Board

Smileysays posts on 8/20/2007 12:35:48 PM I have a question - JK Rowling said she'd tell us what Dudley saw when he was attacked by the dementors. Am I the only oen who didn't know what it was ?
Secertwand posts on 8/20/2007 10:59:38 AM I agree the book and movie were great. I thought J.K was getting killer happy there in the book. But it made the book good. Also I cryed my eyes out when I thought Harry was to die. Also when Snape, Lupin, and tonks died. I think everyone got this but Lupin and tonks were killed by Voldemorts support and so were Harrys kinda.
revolution posts on 8/20/2007 10:50:40 AM Oh My Goodness, the total and utter excitement... I can't believe how many of the oldies are still here. So guys... opinions on the book. I understand why most people don't like the ending, but I loved it. I'm going to marry my childhood sweetheart, and have lots of children, and we'll live happily ever after. And even if it is abit corny all the wizards in the UK go to Hogwarts don't they? so they have to marry each other really well I suppose they could marry muggle borns but errr why would they want to or foreign wizards which is fine. I particularly enjoyed your comment, doodette, telling me about all the other characters. I was dissapointed Luna didn't marry Dean. (while we're on the subject of Dean how HOT is Dean in the movie?? And ohmygoodness emma watson is the new face of Chanel and also, maybe you've all had your chats about the movie but I actually LOVE the Luna girl- she is so CUTE. She brings something really likeable to the character. Overall movie gets a thumbs up, except the Department of Mysteries looks like a nightclub toilet, and did no-one tell the director that everything in the wizarding is old fashioned so why is Voldemort wearing a suit in Harrys nightmare? He's not in the mafia for goodness sake. Also, do you think the directors ever even watch the last movies? What's the deal with Flitwick? You cannot just un-age a character. I like the Flitwick in the first movie personally.) Anyway, before that tangent, I was about to say that someone told me she is publishing a Harry Potter encyclopedia with everything like that in it, so we shall know. I went queing for the last book, did any of you guys make it? I sat for like 5 hours in the rain, but it was so worth it. I made so many friends. This guy in the queue behind had travelled all the way for Algeria! And also these people were there from Denmark(they hadn't travelled just for the book, I live in a city of tourists) and there was this girl and she was the voice over of Luna Lovegood in the film! How amazing is that? And our group was 6th in the queue! And the bookshop had games organised and we were so keen and we beat all the little childrens and we knew where all the quotes were from and we one them all! And afterwards when we had the book, we walked out and rubbed it in the faces of the people who were still going to be queuing for hours. And everyone was dancing and wishing each other Happy Harry Potter Day (which the day officially is) and wow. So that's what I did, anyone else have fun Harry Potter related adventures?

SneeringSoupSnaper posts on 8/19/2007 7:26:16 PM Are you serious? I'm 100% sure that Albus is in Hufflepuff. Where you guys get your crazy ideas, I don't know.

potterhater posts on 8/19/2007 1:54:09 PM hey for anyone who hasnt heard there has been a report that jk rowling has started writing another book...its not related to harry potter but is reportedly a detective novel...looks like this board could be around a while longer with her still writing
Julie posts on 8/19/2007 5:53:55 AM i totally agree with you Potterharter. and that subject about 2kule was done and overwith like two weeks ago people, move on. But anyway, i'm like almost finished the sixth book. 7 is actually a good number, usually there's only trilogys of these kind of adventures but J.K rowling (with her wonderous imagination) had alot more to say i guess. I wonder how they're going to do the epolouge of the 7th book (mom told me about it) i wonder what acters they're going to choose. but i guess we'll find out eh? I hope this message board doesn't get deleted, it's alot of fun.
