Mary posts on 2/19/2007 7:56:27 AM Would also like to know the differences between the book and movie of "A Time to Kill". Need it for a term paper asap. Thanks
Geoff Pears posts on 1/8/2007 10:46:22 AM Crystal, You Should Definitely finish reading the Chamber. I think You should read the Rainmaker also. It is my all time favorite
Crystal posts on 12/31/2006 3:30:45 PM Thank you for your response, Geoff. I have only read A Time to Kill, The Firm, and The Client, and I thought the endings were nothing surprising. I started reading The Chamber but didn't finish it. I personally enjoy legal fiction by other authors better, but I might read more by him someday.

Geoff Pears posts on 12/30/2006 9:59:17 PM Crystal-- What I Mean By Bad Endings is that it's not usually what i wanted. He kind of leave's you hanging in some of his books. I personally sometimes want to keep reading. I Guess that is also what makes him a good author. So, I guess i shouldn't call them "bad" endings.
Mike posts on 12/30/2006 6:05:56 PM have read so much about John Grisham's Book The Innocent Man which is mostly about Ronnie Williamson, But his co-defendant Dennis Fritz has his story to be told. I just read a book that touched my 62 year old heart. I thought you may be interested in the book and story. Here is my review of it. Journey Toward Justice By Dennis Fritz Publisher Seven Locks Press 2006. The book Journey Toward Justice by Dennis Fritz is a memoir and John Grisham calls Compelling and Fascinating. Dennis Fritz is the real character in John's Grisham's Book The Innocent Man. The Innocent Man mostly is about his co-defendant Ronnie Williamson who was sentenced to death. Dennis Fritz who was sentenced to life behind bars and Ronnie Williamson were exonerated in 1999 after 12 desperate and tortuous years in prison, Ronnie Williamson passed away a few years later.. Thanks to The Innocence Project and Barry Scheck who were helpful in getting DNA testing needed that proved Fritz was innocent after serving 12 years in prison.. Dennis Fritz does not want only to be known as the man who was wrongly imprisoned for a murder with NO evidence against him. This story would interest everyone who has, are going to have a career in Law. Especially those in the Criminal Justice System in any capacity. There is much more to his story never told before in his book. He says he witnessed miracles and actually heard God's voice telling him "TRUST ME". He solely relied on faith in God to make it through. This Book will make you think, This can happen to anyone of us. A Great book showing what Faith, Love and Hope can do.. .. Miracles. Thank You for taking the time to read this
Crystal posts on 12/14/2006 6:39:51 PM Geoff -- What do you mean by 'bad endings'? Do you mean you personally think the endings are bad, or that there is always tragedy in the endings?
Geoff Pears posts on 12/14/2006 5:46:02 PM Someone asked whether any of Grisham's books had bad endings. Personally, I think almost all of his endings are bad. I've read all of his books and I am a huge fan. The Rainmaker was my favorite, but it had a terrible ending.
Judith posts on 12/14/2006 9:12:14 AM You asked about the book and I can tell you that I enjoyed the book. It was spell bounding and exciting. A great ending, but then again I'm a big fan of his and have read all of his books. Enjoy your reading.
Jeffrey Thoele posts on 11/27/2006 2:52:14 PM I just finished "The Innocent Man", as usual it was a great book. I think I'm going to reread the first part of it for stuff I missed. Jeff
