beth straub posts on 10/31/2010 9:25:12 AM which novel had the incident with del and the pinking shears? I can't find it either. Did I miss one?? Thank you.

Whatever posts on 8/14/2010 12:55:45 AM Just read Hidden Prey and was appalled to learn how anti Canadian the author is, putting in F...ing Canadians and writing-Canadian gangs just waiting at border to do unto Americans. Don't care if book is fiction, some believe what they read. Use to enjoy his books but will not look for another! Terrible!
Tina posts on 8/9/2010 6:25:33 PM What happened with Del and the pinking shears? I thought I had read all Davenport books and I don't remember the incident.
Bob Fulkerson posts on 10/14/2009 5:43:25 PM I liked the "Prey" novels, however, I have had it with the constant political lecturing of Sandford. I read about 50 pages of "Heat Lightning" before tossing it. In general, military bad, Vietnam vets crazy, Republicans worse, etc., etc.. It was my third and last try with today's Sandford. I'm 67 and a retired pilot. When I encounter an old geezer that's still a "progressive", I wonder what happened or didn't happen to them to cause the suspension of their personal growth. It reminds me of the bitter losers who were never picked for a team, never dated, and generally invisible in school. Those socially dysfunctional types who have some talent for writing, forever more seek revenge for the imagined wrongs done them by their more popular peers. Boo-hoo. Get over it. I'm generalizing based on life experience. Sue me.
Lisa posts on 7/29/2009 6:47:51 PM I have read everyone of John Sandfords Prey book, I love them all, I hope there will be more books with Lucas in them. I have the whole collection. John Sandford is my favorite author. Keep up the wonderful writing.
pbabb posts on 7/23/2009 12:32:40 PM i'm so sad bobby was killed off. i cried even tho it wasn't real then i was mad at you for killing him off in the book. i'm going to miss him, he was awesome. keep writing, you're great....
Belinda Elizondo posts on 6/29/2009 9:49:12 PM Just finished the newest book, Wicked Prey, and was happy to find Sanford back to his old form. The plot is well developed, and the characters thoughtfully brought to life. I was especially pleased to find that Lucas's ward Letty was given the attention that I had hoped for. It was almost as if he had read my message! Susan, read this one to see how satisfying the author's older style was. Yes authors can change, but the detour Sanford took was "pulp lite."
Verla Ledlow posts on 6/29/2009 12:35:49 PM I enjoy all of the novels, especially the Prey series and have been reluctant to send this message. Many years ago I had a wonderful language teacher who would walk around the class room and say "These are not words" (i.e. irregardless, enthused, etc.) and complected. When I read she was fair-complected (many times) I cringe. Sorry. And, for what it's worth, I think the books would be just as successful without the foul language. Now I'm through.
