carolyn posts on 11/11/2005 11:14:04 PM i started watching the movie MIND PREY today which was on lifetime.i have to say i don't really like the guy from ER they got to play him but i guess he does make a pretty good LUCAS.i did not finish the movie,i have read the book though.if anyone has seen the movie plz tell me if it was like the book or did it end the same as the book did.thank you.
Mark Asselstine posts on 10/7/2005 6:46:05 PM With such a lull in 007, The Prey series would be a great. Iam sure a loyal fan would see the movie if they followed the book.. Winter Prey would would be a good start.
Karen posts on 9/7/2005 10:13:44 AM Yes, Lucas has changed since getting married, but everyone changes as they grow. I don't think he's boring at all. I would like to see a story line involving his home life more, include Lettie I think. To take Lucas back to the person he was in the beginning would be false to the character. I've finished re-reading the series again, and I still think my favorite is the swan song of Clara. Lucas' humanity shows along with all of his hard cop images, making a complete human being, something he was lacking in the past. I'd like to see the next one revolving around his personal life again. Lucas is at his best when those he loves are threatened.

shauna posts on 9/4/2005 4:43:14 AM i totally agree with Sandy - Lucas has really changed since marrying - he was such a dark and dangerous guy and now he is just seems so "slippers and a pipe" I have been in love with him since the first book so it is very disappointing!! Hopefully JS will read these comments and bring back the old Lucas!!
Rob posts on 8/23/2005 2:25:40 PM Has taken on such mythic proportion in my mind; I hope that maybe someday, he'll tie it in via flashback. When I first read about it, I thought 'what the..." went back and reread everything, thinking that I usually remember these things. But now, in the theatre of my mind, it's cool and epic - I want to know it, but I don't know if I really really want to know it? Should it remain mythos, or would it be a great payoff via flashback? I don't know, but I likes the 'Prey' series. I'd also like a spinoff featuring the "kid from Iowa". That could be pretty dang cool, too.
Karen posts on 8/23/2005 11:16:14 AM So Dale, when you say that Mr. Camp deserves better, do you mean somean someone like you? You, so full of ethics and fair play that you summairily dismiss out of hand, people whom you have never met and have only been exposed to one or two stamements expressing opinions on a ficticious story line? We are FANS, Mr. McCarger, people who have found a series of books that caught our interest and are sharing our interests with others. Lighten up, get a life. By the way, we've never been told what happened to Del with the pinking shears...just one of those mysteries to keep up thinking. I'm on my fourth or fifth reading (I think, I lose track) of the series from beginning to end. I'm almost finish with Mortal Prey..hate to see Clara go, but she DID get out of hand, but she and Lucas gave each other a run for their money, which made the reading very interesting. Anyway, you guys lighten up out there and just enjoy the books. I've recently loaned the first two my my ph armacist and she bought the two after that before I could loan them to her because she & her daughter read them so fast. I guess we'll just have to keep looking for other authors to occupy our imaginations for the next year 1/2 until the next Prey novel. Keep going, Mr. Camp!
Dennis McCargar posts on 8/23/2005 3:18:35 AM Whew! There are a lot of weird and mixed up dudes/dudesses accessing this site. There is not a single clue that ethics or fair play or manners have ever passed thru the minds of most of the folks who visit this site, and I now know why it was closed down a while back. Sorry, John...you deserve better!
Charles posts on 8/22/2005 5:03:23 PM John really lost it in compiling this list. As a former deejay and program director of a number of major market radio stations back in the 60s and 70s, I can tell you that his selections are at least strange, if not downright bizarre. Perhaps they are merely evidence of peculiar taste in music.
Aine posts on 8/22/2005 4:50:43 PM How did Del get injured w/a scissors....? i have read every book up to Easy Prey
Joe Rasmussen posts on 8/18/2005 7:17:33 PM Got an idea for a new book by John Sandford. Call it "Party Prey". The bad guy invites people to his party and then most important one that does not show up gets killed.
