posts on 8/9/2006 4:41:31 PM I just finished reading all of Joseph Wambaugh's books and I think he should write a book about the river. From a boatcop's perspective. ;)
posts on 7/30/2006 11:46:45 AM i believe joseph wambaugh should write a book on LA street gangs. everyone knows how out numbered police officers are and the risk and courage it takes to stand up to them.
posts on 7/29/2006 1:32:41 PM Joseph Wambaugh has a new book coming out in November, 2006. Hollywood Station is the title and it is a modern day version of the New Centurions. A day to day chronicle of the twenty-first century LAPD officers.

Lynne Strong posts on 6/11/2005 3:04:43 PM Was J.C. Smith the real killer? I knew Wendy and J.C. Smith I went to Upper Merion Bradfield was a whole lot worse in real life than he was in this book. Make no mistake Wendy was an extreemly bright person to be manipulated the way she was. Was no easy trick only a master could have done what Bradfield did. As Shakspear wrote "the lady doth protest to much" No one will dispute Smith was crazy but was he just a pawn in Bradfield's plot for Reinert's estate? How could Wambaugh ignore the sand on Susan's Feet and the directons to the beach found in her car? What role did Joanne Airken really have was she involved in the murder? Pappas "lost it" after the trial did he kill Reinert's children did the practice turn real? Did exposure to the Tyson's Dump EPA# PAD980692024 make Smith crazy and a target for Bradfield the sociopath. Smith's wife died of Leukimia from Tyson's did it make him crazy?

T.J. Ohlemeier posts on 6/5/2005 4:33:06 AM As for Karl Hettinger in the Onion Field, he did subsequently die. From people who knew him, he physically shrunk after the disastrous night that forever changed him. What a sad ending for a good cop who was working before stress debriefings were known.
