J.R.R. Tolkien Message Board

Storm_Rider posts on 10/28/2011 4:30:56 AM In short the Silmarillion features tales from the sunken continent of Beleriand which once existed to the west of middle earth, thousands of years before the events in Lord of The Rings. Whoever has read The Children of Hurin will find it a easier read than The Silmarillion, hopefully Christopher Tolkien will eventually release similiar novels, 3 possible good ones would be 'Beren and Luthien', 'The Fall of Gondolin' and 'The Breaking of Thangorodrim'. These novels would tell the important stories of Beleriand. Any others? BTW:

Oddwen posts on 10/10/2007 11:30:25 PM Awesome - the lamp makes your knife look like a light saber. :D Everything's going great - still poking away at the drums, I've picked up a bit of guitar - we moved to a new state, I'm a lead at the thrift store where I now work, brother's doing great as well.
Gilbo posts on 10/8/2007 11:47:15 AM I am doing all right; getting ggod grades; life's so good, I have to wear shades. Working in Virginia as chef at thelafayette. If you put (dotcom) at the end of that, you can slide in and see my ugly mug. I am on the catering page. So, house bayou? How are the drums? Where are you working? How's the "little" brother? What's new and exciting in your life?
Oddwen posts on 10/6/2007 10:05:37 PM Eek, a name from the past! How goes it?
Gilbo posts on 10/2/2007 7:04:29 PM Just checking in. Seems so quiet in here, now. Nice to see you, Oddwen!
Oddwen posts on 9/14/2007 9:40:59 PM I'm not sure how to get those anymore...a loong time ago, there used to be options to "rate" posters, and I believe these are left over from that time. "Severely Thinking Impaired" was the lowest level.
