Judy Katschke Message Board

Judy posts on 6/11/2007 8:34:37 AM Of course I remember you, Julie! I remember everything about Steampipe Alley -- especially that spaghetti game! I don't remember the sinus statement -- that was probably a joke -- I hope! I'm glad your son liked Buzz and the Bubble Planet! It was fun to write. Thanks for keeping in touch and take care!! xxx Judy
Julie posts on 6/10/2007 9:56:52 PM Look at this - you have a message board! I was trying to reach you last year but didn't find this board. Anyway...I used to work with you on Steampipe Alley! (I am not the same poster as below). That was almost 20 years ago! So one night last year I was reading my 5 year old son a bedtime story called "Buzz and the Bubble Planet" and I look down and there is your name!! I do have some vivid memories of you, although I doubt you remember me. I was a student intern working on the show right before production began. I remember Rick D. and Barbara A. (middle name Bernadette - why, oh, why do I remember that??). One of my tasks was to cook spaghetti that was to be poured down a pipe onto a kid. Rick yelled at me in front of the crew because the spaghetti stuck! And I remember one time you had a sinus infection and you wanted to go home to "drain your sinuses." I had never heard of that before and to this day I think of you whenever I hear someone say it. And I also remember that the original Steampipe Alley host backed out and you held an audition. I personally didn't like Mario's style but hey, the rest of you did and I was just a lowly intern. lol. Anyway, this is getting very long-winded. I just wanted to say Hey and I'm glad to see you are doing what I knew you loved to do. I'll look for more of your work!
Anonymous posts on 5/25/2007 4:37:33 PM Ms. Katschke, I loved your "Full house" books, they seemed like episode in many ways, & promte great values. I revised/expanded the Chronology I sent earlier, didn't know if you got it through the publisher or not. Let me know if you want it resent via e-mail, or the revised is at a few sites. It was fun doing tV and Book universe & trying to figure out where everything would fit; lots of books to do that with! If there are no more FH books coming, I'd hope a friend's Sam Series, covered in numerous ways in the Chronology, could at least inspire you to write something like it, as a great source of inspiration for kids to help others. Same with a series where there's no mom and the oldest sister would have to become a mom-like figure, like seems to be the reason for the different Michelle in the FH books. (Some of which are close enough to the TVU that they're TV canon, and some are TV because there's no room in the calendar in the books.)

Judy Katschke posts on 2/17/2007 7:37:25 PM Hi! Yes -- I'm writing books now and have great memories of WWOR-TV! You didn't include your name -- did you work with me on Steampipe Alley?

Judy Katschke posts on 3/13/2006 9:43:28 PM Thanks so much for your great posts and for reading my books! I didn't know I had a message board until recently! For those who want to know about me, I grew up in New York City --Manhattan to be exact! I went to the High School of Music and Art where I studied art and design. After college I began writing books and television shows such as Eureeka's Castle for Nickelodeon and a kids'comedy show called Steampipe Alley. I love writing books and will keep on writing as long as you keep reading! So thanks, everyone -- and be sure to follow your dreams too! Your friend, Judy Katschke
