posts on 8/27/2006 9:20:33 PM md, We won't mention a year but we could almost be twins! I'm smacking myself on the forehead right now about the mix up. I definatly need to re-read the books if I've forgotten that much. Thank you for the information on the upcoming book. I so agree about Noah. I would be the perfect woman for him so JG should model the female after me. I'll be waiting for her call.
posts on 8/27/2006 8:34:05 PM 7/4 here! gentle warrior was the one when her family was killed and she attempted to find the killer. Her name was Elizabeth and she marries Geoffrey. You are thinking of Honor's Splendour with Madelyn. Both really good books. After she warmed his feet I was so surprised that he took her.In the series with the Buchanan brothers I thought Slow Burn was not up to her great standards. I liked Murder List better than Slow Burn. I would love for her to write a novel about their friend Noah. Then another historical. She has one coming out in December 2006 called Shadow Dancer. I don't know what it is about. She said her website is under construction but should be done in a month and then she will discuss it. It is already for order on amazon.
posts on 8/27/2006 7:47:14 PM md, 7/11 Baby! That is so funny because Gentle Warrior was one of my firsts' but it was a complete novel by itself. For some reason when she warmed his feet on her stomach... It moved me as much as it did the hero. You know, I haven't read that in a while. I hope I'm thinking of the same book. Was her name Madeline or something close? I think I need to read it again. Murder List seemed uncomplete somehow, like she didn't get to tell the whole story like she wanted to. It was good but not her previous standards. It's still a keeper.

posts on 8/27/2006 5:46:47 PM boy do we have alot in common. July baby here too. and I also own everything of hers(although I have to say I got rid of the roses series). I started with gentle warrior when she wrote for Tapestry books in the 80's. What didn't you like about Murder List. I really enjoyed it.
posts on 8/27/2006 1:03:40 PM I have been a fan of Garwood since the early 90's and have read and own everything. When she started hard back I bought those as well. For several years her books were released in July which is my birth month. I would always buy it the day it came out and claim it a birthday gift to myself. It is hard to decide which one's are the best of the historicals because each one is written beautifully. Your right about Ransom, too.
posts on 8/26/2006 10:49:46 PM I didn't care for Killjoy all that much and I really didn't like the roses series but other than that all the others were great. Wait you are right Slow Burn was just ok. I loved the Secret and the Bride as well. Have you read Ransom and the Wedding. both are sequesls to those books. If you liked the Secret then you will most likely love Ransom.
posts on 8/26/2006 5:08:07 PM I really liked Heartbreaker, Mercy and Killjoy but Murder List didn't do anything for me. Slow Burn was okay. Of course a so-so JG is better that some authors best shots. I met her at Heartbreaker's book signing. She was very warm and approachable. She took the time to speak personally to each visitor. I LOVED all her historicals but The Secret speaks directly to my heart even after all these years.
posts on 8/26/2006 4:47:08 PM I love the way she puts humor in her books. the problem I have is that I tend to read her books in one to two days then I have to wait forever it seems for her next book to come out. I would give her contemporaries a try. I like historicals also but her contemps. aren't bad either. just a suggestion.
posts on 8/25/2006 1:37:30 PM I really love all of JG's historical novels but I have not tried her contemporary novels yet. Historicals are my favorite and I really hope she writes more in the future.
posts on 8/23/2006 9:17:04 PM I wrote to her once and I believe she said she still had to write on more contemporary and then she would be writing another historical. I don't know when her next book is expected out but I certainly hope it is soon.
