Jeff bennett posts on 11/29/2011 12:08:51 AM I will be as brief as possible. You might know of an account of an emissary to India from, I thought England but could have been from any country. The emissary/ explorer was asked by those who sent him, "Do they (people in India) have religion? The response was something to the effect, "They have sufficient religion to keep the masses in line." I came across this about 1960 something but don't recall why or where. If this does not strike a familiar note with you could you refer me to a historian with whom it might? I so would like to re-find this account. Most appreciatively, Jeff

Fran Martin posts on 10/28/2011 3:58:51 PM Dear Ms. Armstrong: I am extremely interested in your proposal about improving human life through developing instincts of compassion and repressing agressive ones. But I don't agree with all your suggestions. Do you know whether it exists an Internet webpage or forum to discuss differents views and approachs about this matter? I think there are new ideas that can be developed.

Andrew Eliasz posts on 9/6/2011 8:43:21 AM Dear Ms. Armstrong, Guildford Quakers are having an open day on Saturday October 8th. As well as the usual activities for children (bouncy castle, face painting), teas, stands from those involved in WWF, Amnesty, and peace movements we will also be selling books (dealing with both religious and spiritual matters, and issues close to quaker hearts). Amongst other we will be selling your books, some of which some of us have found very helpful. It would be very nice if you might be able to come to Guildford and spend an hour or so at our open to give a little talk and possibly sign copies of your books.

John Holenko posts on 7/6/2011 12:12:19 AM I don't have high hopes of this actually reaching Ms. Armstrong, but here goes: How about a book on the Baha'i faith? It's a pretty fascinating religion and too little understood.
