OMG! OMG! I just read the book and i keep re-reading it! I can put it down! LOL its soooo good to know that other girls relate to Megan like me.I normally stick to Fantasy and Mystery but when i picked up this book i just coudln't put it down. It pulled me into a world of girlyness. LOL. I totally think there should be a second one. PLEASE PLASE PLASE KATE BRIAN! MAKE A SECOND ONE TO SAVE ALL US GIRLS FROM DIEING OF WANTING ONE! The ending was a total clif-hanger!

Wow! Looks like I'm not the only one who is dying for a sequel to Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan Boys! I have to hand it to Kate Brian, that was probably the most amazing book I have ever read. It was such a great story. And it wasn't predictable like a lot of chick books are. I mean, maybe I'm just dumb but I totally did not see some of the events coming. Like Megan and Finn kissing? I totally thought she liked Evan. But Megan made a good choice. I liked Finn way better from the start. I mean, who can turn down a sexy artist (sigh). But it is more than just a good story. thoughout the novel, i felt myself, more than once, knowing exactly what Megan felt like. At those moments I would sit up and be like "I've done that" or "OMG, I felt like that before". Kate Brian created a believable character. She gave us someone we girls can connect to. I'm sure all these girls who have left messages have had a crush on a guy like Evan, or Finn, or any of the older boys. I for one am in love with a mega-cute artist but I, like Megan, can't seem to summon the courage to talk to him and show him who I really am, that I am someone he could love if he could only see through my shyness. One of these days I hope I can break out of my shell, like Megan did, and be bold and daring like she was. Which goes back to what I was saying before, how girls like me can really relate to the novel. I only hope that my first kiss can be as great as Megan's and that one day I will feel the way she did. But anyway, Kate Brian, if you ever read this, know that I will always be a fan of yours, regardless of whether or not a sequel is made, because I respect your amazing writing skills and believe in your writing as well, something I rarely do. As for all the girls out there that wrote before me and who will write after me, I just want to say I'm glad I'm not alone. GO MEGAN!!!!!!!

I know that i am only repeating what a million girls have already said, but i just really wanted to comment on what a GREAT book Megan Meade's guide to the McGowan Boys is. it's true, i couldn't bring myself to put it down, and i didn't want to either. It's such a cute story, but really expresses Megan's character as well. It does not lack substance like several other books i've read that attempted to do what Kate Brian did. i would really appreciate a sequel as well as the numerous other girls who have requested one. Much thanks to Kate Brian for writing a book that i truly enjoyed and wished there was more of to read when i reached the end.

I love this story and I'm currently reading it a friend. I would be absoulutely devastated if there was never going to be a second one. It's not just because it's cute. It's because so many girls my age can relate to Megan. Such as gathering the courage to talk to a guy and have that courage ripped out of your heart, or dying to have your first kiss. I truly appreciate this work of art, and Kate Brian can only go forward with this story and I STRONGLY encourage her to do so.

I am soooo glad to have found this message board. I know, I know, everybody here has been saying it but I have got to vent my excitement. I LOVE MEGAN MEADE'S GUIDE TO THE MCGOWAN BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is like the best book I have ever read! I was soooo impressed with that book! Usually I stick to fantasy novels and historical fiction (I am such a nerd, I know) but this book has me hooked on the more girly novels, stuff I wouldn't usually read. I always thought these books lacked substance but this book totally proved me wrong! I was on a shopping spree at a bookstore (yea back to the mega nerd factor) and this book totally caught my eye. I started reading it then and there and couldn't put it down. It was soo amazing!!! I soooo wish there was a sequel! That would be sooo great! Megan and Finn totally need to get together because they are just so cute and hello, I mean, a girl cannot make out with a guy and then not hook up with him. That is totally against all dating rules. But anyway, Kate Brian, if you are reading this, I speak for myself, my friends, and all the girls who got to this message board before me but wanted the same thing. Please give us a sequel to Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan Boys!

I really really love "SWEET 16" it is the best ever,i would sooo love it even more if someone made it into a movie it would be awsome.kate brain i love your books.

I sooo agree! There should so be a sequel to The Mcgowan Boys! My friends and I are crazy about that book. We have all read it and so want a sequel! So PLEASE write one if you read this Kate Brian. Thanks!

OMG! Ok, so I totally just read what some of the readers wrote on this site and I couldn't agree more!!! I LOVED Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan Boys! There has to be a sequel! It is so not fair to leave the readers hanging like that! Like, when I was reading that book, it was like the whole world just disappeared and all I could do was read that book. I couldn't put it down because it was just that good. And all the people that I lent the book to totally agree. WE ALL NEED MORE OF THE MCGOWAN BOYS!!! Imean seriously, I just read the book February 2007 and the first thing I did, since I knew the book was published in 2005, was look online to see of there was a sequel. I was so disappointed when I saw that Kate Brian was working on the Private series instead. I finally found this website and omg, I hope Kate Brian reads this. But if she does and there is ever a sequel, Finn and Megan have to hook up!!! Oh, Iove this book so much! And I am so glad that my friends and I aren't alone in wanting a sequel. We thought we were just crazy for going on about it but I'm glad I didn't give up and found this website. Well, I'm done going on about it (I'm probably boring the reader to death and I'm really sorry if I am. And I mean that sincerely not sarcastically) but I'm glad I can leave the computer knowing I've done all I could to get more of the McGowan Boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
