Kin Platt Message Board

We have finalized the design for the new cover of the new edition of Sinbad and Me. We've missed the holiday season while making everything perfect, so now we're looking to publish the book sometime in the Spring of 2015, as a hardcover, paperback, and/or eBook, so you can all add Sinbad to your Summer reading lists. If you'd like to see what the cover looks like, visit Kin Platt on Facebook.

This is great news to hear! I'd be interested primarily in an ebook copy, aging eyes and all that, plus, very portable, but would also be interested in a hardcover.

Sinbad Update: Well, the editing and proofreading are complete! It was a long, hard slog to go through the newly keyboarded manuscript page-by-page, and to make sure Kin Platt's treasured words were faithfully reproduced for this new printing. There are too many fans like you out there, and we don't want to disappoint you. So, no anomalies, all anachronisms are in-place, and, finally, America once again can look forward to reading about a teenage hero who doesn't speak with a British accent, who doesn't resort to foul language or violence, and still manages to come out ahead.
Now, we are reviewing the formatting of the book's pages and typefaces, a much-easier task than the proofreading phase. After that, we'll be working on the provocative new cover, designed by the world-famous author and designer, Leonard Everett Fisher. Leonard designed the cover for The Blue Man, Kin Platt's first book, so it seemed fitting to ask him to design the covers for the Sinbad works as well.

Sinbad and Me Progress Report: Page Publishing has completed transcribing the text from an olde copy of the hardcover book, and I am now about one-third of the way through proofreading what they've typed, to eliminate as many errors as I can before they typeset the manuscript for publishing. Another week or so and we move on to the next step!

Hello Chris, sorry I have not been on sooner to celebrate your wonderful news. I would like to order at least three hardcovers, maybe an additional to contest away on facebook page, otherwise I'll be paper-backing it.
Thanks for your kind wedding congrats and taking the time to write me.
Lets get this thing moving! Steve and Sinbad need to live on!

My brother & I loved Sinbad & Me & read it to pieces. Would love to have hardcopy for both me & him, but paperback & eBook would be ok, just so long as we can read it again. And any other Steve Forrester books!

I would love ALL the Steve and Sinbad books, in hardcover, ebook, whatever format i can get. I have very well-loved paperbacks that are falling apart.

I also would love a hardcover copy of Sinbad and Me. I had a ex library paper copy of the book that never had a cover, but even that has finally died on me.

I would be interested in buying a hard cover copy (maybe two) of Sinbad and Me.
