This was a movie that my younger brother and I (now 28 and 26) saw in jr. high or high school and it became one of those movies that you rented over and over. We both loved Rodney Dangerfield, so that was why we probably saw it in the first place. We both fell in lust with the precociously developed Stephanie, played by Vinessa Shaw, and having played youth sports including soccer ourselves, enjoyed the cheesy sports element. I was sorry to hear a couple of years ago about Jonathan Brandis' death. I remember seeing him interviewed on Conan O'Brien years after Ladybugs came out. He told funny stories about going to Canadian strip clubs while he was on "Seaquest" and about during the filming of Ladybugs how Rodney would come to meetings in his bathrobe and nothing else. This movie is very dear to me for all of these reasons as well as the main one....it's hilarious!
