Lee Child Message Board

Liza posts on 5/23/2014 4:49:57 AM I am not sure why these books are so long. They are basically thrillers but the long descriptions bog down the pacing. Some of them are around 500 pages which to me is what a historical novel is, not a contemporary thriller. I find myself skipping through a lot. I read all but the two latest and thought Gone Tomorrow, 61 Hours, The Hard Way and One Shot were the best.
Stillman posts on 12/4/2013 12:06:46 PM No Brad Thor or Vince Flynn but okay for a fast read even with the bad geography and descriptions that go on too long. Echo Burning and Bad Luck and Trouble are the worst. 61 Hours and One Shot the best.
Sukie posts on 8/26/2013 9:50:14 AM I wish the Jack Reacher movie would be a series but I think Tom Cruise is doing another Mission Impossible movie? Jack Reacher is one of my three favorite "mystery men" the others being Victor Cardenas and Julian Kestrel.

Fran C. posts on 7/24/2013 8:40:44 AM I actually liked the movie Jack Reacher and wonder if it is meant to be the first is a series?
Sid Corker posts on 7/18/2013 5:09:11 PM Very disappointed that a sticker signed by Lee Child can be had on the web and then stuck into any Lee Child first edition and placed for sale on line as a signed first edition. Only discovered by reading the sale description very carefully.
Julie posts on 1/24/2013 3:47:46 AM Paula, the book you're looking for is Gone Tomorrow
Paula posts on 9/19/2012 2:08:07 PM I saw an excerpt from Lee Childs on a Reacher novel, but don't remember the name of the novel. In the story, he is sitting on a subway and sees across from him a woman who looks very nervous. Taking in all the information he can get by checking her over visually, he decides she has a bomb and is going to blow up the subway line. Can anyone tell me the name of the book?
