Lilian Jackson Braun Message Board

Donna posts on 9/13/2011 11:10:03 AM I had no idea she had passed untill I went looking to find out why there had been no follow up to the last book. I know it takes time to write and publish but it had been a long time. I will miss her and Qwil. Any chance the new book was far enough along a ghost writer could finish in her honor?
Molly posts on 9/5/2011 8:17:39 PM Qwil moves into the apple barn in TCW knew a Cardinal. He gets all his money in TCW played Brahms.
Shirley Ackerman posts on 9/4/2011 6:24:31 PM I was so sorry to hear of her passing. I so miss her books and looked forward to each new one. I even received a wonderful note from her in 1988 when I wrote her about my wonderful siamese cat I owned. Her note was personable and sweet. She will be missed as well as Qwill and kitties.

molly posts on 9/3/2011 11:58:30 AM Lacey In TCW could Read Backwards Qwill adopted KoKo. The following book The Cat Who Ate Danish Modern He Adopted YumYum.
Wyn Yuhas posts on 9/2/2011 9:12:33 PM Jean that book was cancelled by the publisher. Lacey, I think it's either The Cat Who Played Brahams or the Cat Who Moved a Mountain. I believe it was the Played Brahams, now that I think about it the Moved a Mountain was right after Qwill found about the inheretance and went to that mountain house to kind of decide what he wanted to do. I too was sorry to hear of Mrs. Braun's death, I'm about done with all the books and it's kind of sad that there will be no more.
Jean Bakos posts on 9/2/2011 8:00:54 PM I have read every Cat Who books and have loved them all. I was very sorry to hear of her passing. I know that she had started writing book 30 'The Cat Who Smelled Smoke' and I was really looking forward to reading that also. Does anyone know if it was ever finished and published and if so where can it be purchased?
Lacey posts on 8/27/2011 4:08:39 PM Isn't there a book that tells when Qwill first got the cats and when he found out he had received the inheritance? I'm sure I read it but can't remember the name of it.
Eleanor posts on 8/27/2011 11:18:32 AM Please help. Which Cat Who book has the story of Qwill's apple barn remodel? In one book he is living in the carriage house and then he is in the barn. What did I miss?
Ginny posts on 8/22/2011 12:09:15 AM I was very sorry to hear that Mrs Braun had passed away. I read the internet everyday, and I did not see any mention of her passing. Just happened to come to this site and saw it. Did I miss something, or did the news organizations just overlook the passing? I can't believe that as popular as her books were, that they wouldn't mention passing. I do hope they will let a writer who is familiar with her books tie up loose ends.
Rory posts on 7/18/2011 8:40:57 PM I've always pictured Brian Dennehy ever since I began reading Cat Who's. Tom Selleck? Never!! How about Kathy Bates for Polly? Agnes Moorhead would have been perfect for Mildred Hanstable.
