I wasn't aware of the books until recently I was browsing in Jane Austen section when I sighted the second book. I didn't realize there was a first book and I bought it.
Interested and eager to read, I asked the bookstore to order the first one but it turned out that the first book was banned by the government here. I wonder why the second one wasn't banned as well.
Anyway, I read the second book and it was a good read although I'm rather confused about some parts.

I loved both the sequals and can't wait for the 3rd! I loved being able to see Darcy and Lizzy at the next level in their relationship. They are portrayed as two strong willed people who are passionate about their feelings, in my opinion it only makes sense that that passion would carry on into the bedroom as well!

I thought Berdoll's "Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife" to be much too sexy! Tasteless!
Some sex? Yes. But the description of sex as far as Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth are concerned, detracts from their enjoyable personalities as presented in Pride and Prejudice by sedate, proper, and ladylike Jane Austen.

I hope Linda keeps the P&P sequels coming! It's going to be hard to wait til 2009 for the 3rd installment. I hope each one covers a one-year period in the life of the Darcys and there will be many more to look forward to. Now I know how those crazy Harry Potter fans felt waiting for the next book. I contacted Sourcebooks Inc. and was informed that Linda will have a historical romance set in the American west, due out in the Spring of 2008. The third Darcy book is due out in the Srping of 2009. I HOPE THERE IS REALLY A THIRD BOOK COMING. I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THIS AUTHOR. I HAVE READ THE FIRST TWO BOOKS 3 TIMES. PLEASE HURRY LINDA...I AM SO IN LOVE WITH Mr. DARCY. NO... JANE AUSTEN WOULD NEVER HAVE WRITTEN SO SEXY A NOVEL IN HER DAY..BUT I DARE SAY IF SHE WERE ALIVE TODAY, SHE SURELY WOULD...HER NOVEL CAN BE CONSIDERED A BIT SEXY BY THE STANDARDS OF THAT TIME PERIOD.

Mrs. Berdoll did a great job of really identifying Lizzy and Darcy's characters. But, I thought the book was too sexual and let there is no way Jane Austen would have ever written a book like this. This simple fact ruined my enjoyment of the book.

I LOVE Linda Berdoll's sequels to Pride and Prejudice .. I dare say that they are more put together and more exciting then the actual book Pride and Prejudice. In other sequels they make Darcy seem so arrogant .. but in these books Darcy is just shy and is only himself around Elizabeth, which is almost romantic in a way. I just hope Mrs. Berdoll writes a third sequel, especially because she is so talented at bringing Jane Austen's characters to life. After reading her first two I can not read other sequels because her storyline is so perfect! I just hope there is a 3rd!

Mrs. Berdoll when will your books "Darcy and Elizabeth: Days and Nights at Pemberley" , "Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife" and "The Bar Sinister: Pride and Prejudice continues..." will be printed in Spanish? My mother loved the idea that her favorite book has a sequel.

If it is true that a third installment of the Darcy and Elizabeth love story is coming out, all I have to say is PLEASE hurry Mrs. Berdoll!! I have read and reread the first two, and I am desperate for a third! Good luck!!
