Sky Winder posts on 9/30/2005 5:21:19 PM Came across this in a blog. Maybe a trilogy? "...Lorna Freeman, who landed a three-book deal with Del Rey for her fantasy novel COVENANTS, which became a bestseller. She signed at the Festival of Books last year and Tod was so proud..."
Paul posts on 9/30/2005 3:52:59 PM It's coming out in paperback--I've seen it listed at $7.99.
Sky Winder posts on 9/22/2005 10:19:16 PM Great first novel! (Covenants: A Borderlands Novel). I am very much looking forward to the next. "Covenants" reminds me sort of a cross between Rudyard Kipling and Robin McKinley, if you've read "Kim" or "The Blue Sword". Really great world that just reminds you of the Old Empire filtered through a magical lens. Rabbit has a wonderful voice. First Person voices can be horrifyingly bad, but this was wonderfully terrific! I recommend it to everyone.
Greg Baumgartner posts on 9/4/2005 12:57:22 AM Will "The King's Own" be released as a paperback or a hardcover? The price of gas is eating at my my discresionary spending and a hardcover would out of my budget.
elf posts on 8/19/2005 9:21:10 PM It is called THE KING'S OWN and will be out February 7, 2006. It's listed on several online booksellers.
mf posts on 8/16/2005 4:18:47 PM Are you sure about the next book. I have looked everywhere but found no mention of it ANYWHERE.
mf posts on 7/20/2005 3:25:44 PM I stumbledt over this book as i was looking for a good book to read. I loved it and already have read it a number of times, and have also tried to find out if there is a next one. I noticed that there will be one in another 6 months. It is a long wait but if it is only half as good as the first one it will be worth it. I hope there will be more in the series. I enjoy the world she has created with all its wonderful characters, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Thank you for the pleasurable read and keep it up
