Lorna Freeman Message Board

nettie posts on 4/18/2008 10:54:51 PM OK, I'm trying the 'back door' approach. I emailed Wendy Duren and she replied back that she has forwarded my email to Lorna. That was the best idea I could come up with.
Peg posts on 4/17/2008 12:11:46 AM I'm at the point where if my interest in this product has no more meaning than this, I'm not interested anymore. Even a lame excuse would have been better. Sorry, Roc, but you just lost a promising writer a reader.
Jesse posts on 4/9/2008 12:37:25 PM Agreed. Very unusual as all the author would have to do is post a comment somewhere and it would get around. Maybe the problem is with the author, not the publisher. Could be she has been translated into a rabbit for real.

Leah posts on 4/8/2008 3:19:27 PM I am very put off by the little to no information brought up by the book outlets (ie B&N), publishing company, and author about the series. It is like it has disappeared from the face of the earth and it is most unfair that the readers, whom obviously love the series, are left in dark.
nautika posts on 4/6/2008 9:31:37 PM Waldenbooks still says the book was printed, then recalled due to a error in printing. I tried contacting the author, but received no response.
Joe posts on 4/5/2008 2:10:03 PM Perhaps the publisher rejected the manuscript for the third book or the author failed to submit it. Strange though that there's no word as to the fate of the series.
nettie posts on 4/1/2008 9:20:08 PM With everything I have read, it is sounding more and more like a legal issue.
Jim posts on 3/29/2008 10:49:25 PM There is little contact information for the author and messages to boards or sites with which she is associated have not been answered.
nettie posts on 3/29/2008 7:43:54 AM Has anyone tried asking Lorna Freeman directly what is the fate of her third book?
Robin posts on 3/24/2008 10:19:26 PM Okay, in Penguin's FAQ section, they state: "The third book in the Lorna Freeman’s Borderlands series is no longer scheduled for publication, and no additional information is available at this time. Should you care to check back periodically, information relating to future publications by this author will be posted on our website as it becomes available." The sad thing is, it's a frequently asked question. The books is a total no-go. I'm seriously not happy.
